So this is my first deck and I currently only own the Revised Core Set so I'm looking for some help before I drop a lot of money on cards that won't initially help me get better at the game. Any help would be great! Thanks.

This is a great start!

Both Magnum Opus and Professional Contacts are very -intensive. And if you spend a using one of them, you're not spending it using the other. Because of that opportunity cost, I don't think they're very good in the same deck. I think you should choose one of them and put in three copies of it to see it early.

With the extra slot, you may want an extra copy of Maya or Beth. Alternatively, Equivocation is great with Maya because they both encourage you to run R&D repeatedly.

How do you feel about having Femme Fatale be your only sentry breaker?

Thanks for the help! Right now I’m just trying to get all of the cards but it makes a lot of sense to replace the Professional Contacts with Equivocation. I’m not sure about Femme Fatale but my lack of card knowledge has limited my choice in sentry breakers. Thank you again for the advice!
