Modded Red Weyland

This was my favorite corp deck for the latest #teaching-league, legal for Modded play (which is 3x Revised Core plus Kitara block).

I call it Red Weyland. It's 15 pips of Jinteki influence combined with meat damage Weyland cards. It's IAA glacer with lots of dummy assets for the runner to go get. Junebug or GRNDL? NGO or Gene Splicer? As long as the runner has to pay to break some ICE to start playing this game, I feel like I'm coming out ahead. When I feel like I've tired them out, I can drop the GRNDL, SSL, or overadvanced Atlas in there. With a good chunk of people playing the 'pirate' breakables to stop rush, I am able to drain their assets with some convincing IAA play.

Money? It's nice to be BABW for beanstalk royalties, hedge fund, and ... Death & Taxes (a transaction!) With Corporate "Grant" as the only counter current in the format, the saying goes, you can count on Death & Taxes.

I think Anansi is a MVP in this format as a glacier ICE for centrals, especially R&D. It's a nasty facecheck, though notice that the runner CAN draw a card to pad the damage for $2, kind of like Aiki. It's not always 4 damage, if you were getting excited about that flatline...

Speaking of facechecks, Wall of Thorns is my cheeky include because a lot of runners in this format will (rightly) run fearlessly once they have a killer up against Weyland, only to smack into 2 net on the prickly wall. Oh, were you planning on using that card?

On the other hand, the other kind of fearless runners are those with a powered-up AI like Darwin. Swordsman wins that battle easily. However, Swordsman doesn't have the numbers to be much use otherwise, so he's really just a tactical strike in this deck.

Why Hadrian's Wall? I like the fact that it has 2 subs (even at the end of the game, as opposed to Hive) to battle the pirate breakers. Also, Yusuf starts to lose the tide against Hadrian's Wall.

I played this deck enough to discover that Armed Intimidation is a fun card to IAA. Then when they take the tags I can trash a resource with the final click.

Love it! Kitara's addition of NGO Front has revived IAA tactics in the Modded format.

What are your thoughts on Wake Up Call and Reconstruction Contract? If they don't trash the latter, it can help you FA your Atlas and if they do trash it, you can slap em with 4 meat or the loss of a vital card.

I have built around Reconstruction Contract before and I think it needs more support than this deck offers. Wake Up Call is cute, but it sort of holds the same space as Punitive: if I start losing, I can try to bring you down with me. The problem is that Wake Up Call is never a guaranteed kill.
