Regressive Lat 5-0 1st@Intercontinentals

Bridgeman 2271

Not much new here I´ll say more in the corp writeup :)

Slowly drifting backwards towards the original lat list xD

-1 Nanotk

+1 Ika

There were a lot more slot considerations to think about, but in the end I decided to just go with what I knew, and it payed off. This fortunately dodged the scary PE and PD matchups on the day.

Wins were against:

  • 2 different kinds of sports, these were a bit scary, especially the game against lukifer. I managed to pull through with a big chunk of luck in the latter one.
  • Two games against my Ob list piloted by Sokka. Naturally I had lots of practice against this and knew I was favored If I stuck to the game plan. Fortunately he did not manage to snowball in either of the games.
  • Tugtetguts ASA. This one got really close, I couldnt find my boat early, but found it and all the breakers just in time to get into the remote and establish a remote lock. One credit more for him could have swung the game.

The deck is still good, but it is not always a walk in the park :)

Congrats on the amazing showing!

I was favored If I stuck to the game plan.

What is that game plan, if I may ask?

Thank you!

Certainly! 1. Deny econ assets, but stay out of kill range. 2. Dont run Urbans unless you have to until you are set up. 3. Keep drawing and installing drip, chart rooms and dig for Paricia and especially misdir. 4. If you have Paricia use it every turn if not too risky 5. Once you have misdir you are fine to be a bit more aggressive. 6. Dont install boat if you cant safely run afterwards. 7. Establish remote lock and close game out with Stargate/clot if needed.

Also good to keep in mind to not into the depths Willy nilly, you can get border controlled.
