Work in progress. I found PeekaySK's "Stealing ain't that hard" interesting and wanted to try an adaptation with the cards I have on hand.

thoughts: I want more of The Maker's Eye... but I'm not sure what to drop to make that happen

Not sure why you have Tinkering in here, if you're primarily using Atman, Tinkering is kind of useless. I see where you're going with Maker's Eye and R&D interface though. That's really nice. Get 4 cards accessed instead of 2.

Though I use a completely different setup with Chaos Theory, I feel like this has some super strong points at it. Here's what I would change for you to get more Maker's Eye (and thus, more R&D access) Also, I worry about your ability to survive with those Account Siphon tags, so I'll highlight an area to put Plascretes in..

-3 Tinkering

-1 R&D Interface (you don't need 3 if you're not planning on first turn lockdown of R&D)

+2 Plascrete Carapace

+2 The Maker's Eye

With this deck being hard core R&D lock, I'd suggest getting an atman out each time they use an ice on R&D, match the strength then all the sudden, it's 3 ice on R&D that they have no idea what to do with, while you still have toolbox for magnum and 2 more mem for fem/gord or corroder. Not to mention most corps have duplicate ice so your Atman will burn through it elsewhere too. If the strength on an R&D ice is too big for the foreseeable future (Or if it's something like Ice Wall/Hadrians/Next Ice) You should abandon it and try thinking of setting up a standard rig Corroder/Femme/Gordian with maybe 1 Atman at a common strength of their ice (4/5/2) . So you can get into their HQ or Remote when they drop something down on it.

@masunrays thanks for the feedback! This is my first experiment with deckbuilding after expanding from just the core set, the help is much appreciated.

Good point on Tinkering. I'm not sure how I didn't catch that. Definitely very little use for it here.

I haven't picked up What Lies Ahead yet, so I might have to find an alternative for Plascrete Carapace. Crash Space seems like it would work quite well, if I could find the spare influence points for it. Possibly New Angeles City Hall, but that doesn't seem ideal.

Run 2 Public Sympathy then and make sure to keep your hand size around 8 if you can, it sounds hard but if you're facing Weyland/NBN(that isn't FA) or even the off-faction Jinteki trying to catch a Snare + Scorched combo, it should be fine against it. 8 will save you from double scorched. That could probably work until you can get What Lies Ahead. Also having a 9 card hand size is really nice because you can diesel last click and not have to discard if you're at 6 cards in your hand to start it.

Another good way to avoid scorched (against Weyland) is with really good R&D control, if you Indexing them and see that they're splashing a lot of NBN for their influence, then you might wanna just work on clearing tags as soon as you get them so you don't get scorched. However, if they are running a lot of NBN that means that they have a ton of ways to get you tagged on THEIR turn which, Plascrete/Public Sympathy should save you from. Like I said, If you're running Account Siphon and not wanting to clear tags, then Plascrete is ideal.

@masunrays I like that. Public Sympathy feels like it'll turn out to be a little more multi-purpose considering the combo with Diesel. I'm gonna try this deck out with these revisions tonight and see how it goes, thanks for the help! Will publish a revised version soon.

Somehow i expected a virus deck with the title.

@kedromelonI think the tinkering is for the early game when you don't know what the ICE is you can get in with just the corroder or the gordian for a syphion thats the only reason i can see for it anyway.

Ok so it turns out that even after the changes this deck just does not have a reliable economy. Considering dropping Account Siphon... it seems like Test Run, Stimhack, and Modded might be useful cards to find a place for in this deck.

Try looking at my Chaos Theory deck I have posted. It's a high econ, fast moving deck. You can put your own breakers on it if you don't like huge breaker rigs.

I was thinking about changing out a cyber cypher for an Atman since there isn't much reason to run cyber cypher locally, most of the code gates here are just things like Tollbooth and Pop-up, but I'm not sure yet, I need to run this iteration of it first.

@masunrays interesting deck. I especially like your inclusion of Retrieval Run. Definitely will give some of your ideas a try in the next iteration.

Atman seems strong in this type of deck, but it doesn't feel economically feasible to focus on them. Running a single Atman in place of cyber cypher seems like it'd make sense though.
