Blue Sun (1.1.1.1)

EnderA 501

The fifth in a series of 1.1.1.1 aka Onesies decks, one for each faction, it was interestingly the hardest faction to design for. Weyland suffers from having a weak Deluxe and incomplete Core, and only getting 2 copies of its critical strongest core combo card: Scorched Earth.

The Deck

In classic Blue Sun fashion, it runs Oversight AI and huge ICE (Hadrian's Wall/Janus 1.0 (and Assassin in a pinch.) It also runs econ assets to bounce repeatedly, namely Adonis Campaign and Launch Campaign. Chum is surprisingly good here, since you can reposition ICE at will, it's cheap, it's outside Yog range, and there are a lot of subroutines that the runner would otherwise let fire, like Enigma's lose a click, Caduceus/Assassin's traces, and Archer's "gain two credits."

Primarily, it tries to score out behind simple (big) glacier, with a side threat of SEA Source/Posted Bounty + 2x Scorched Earth.

Look for Oversight AI + a big ICE or multiple ICE and some other econ in a starting hand. Of course if you can manage to snag two Brain damage with Janus 1.0, a kill will be much easier (and easier to threaten.) If you're going for a first-turn Oversight AI, plop a 3-cost ICE in front of it to keep it safe from cards like D4v1d/e3 Implants/Deus X/etc.

Card Selection:

As I mentioned before, this was hard. It's not obvious which ID to pick, but in the end I picked my favorite: Blue Sun. What Lies Ahead is a great pickup for Weyland because of Project Atlas and Caduceus, but handily offers Janus 1.0 for Blue Sun. Blue Sun really wants Oversight AI, which sits rather lonely in A Study in Static, so is a natural card pick.

Sadly Order & Chaos doesn't offer much (mainly Wormhole/Orion), whereas Data and Destiny grants Global Food Initiative, Launch Campaign, and Assassin. Each is fundamental in this deck. (You might notice that I also picked Data and Destiny for HB - those three cards are often better than anything C&C/O&C offer.)

Hardest Corp to build for in 1.1.1.1 imho. Agendas are spread out and the deluxe is indeed problematic. Cool project.
