Dia de Los Muertos (Au Revoir Los) 1.0

Spit-balling with a new Los idea

The Los decks I've seen so far seem to double down on his ID ability, understandably, but I feel like his ability, generally speaking, rivals typical drip ID's like Kate (given average number of ICE rezzed, over an average number of turns in a game). Given that it's unlikely you could really BEAT those odds, and a corp with tons of rezzed ICE isn't exactly a solid board you want to build towards, I wanted something that works well in match-ups where there are few ICE played, and I could leverage pressure in other ways.

Enter: The Au Revoir+Snitch economy. This is good with Los for a couple of reasons (and janky for a couple of reasons too). First, it discourages stacked towers in favor of icing remotes and archives as much as possible. Not only that, but it heavily encourages rezzing ICE when possible, which triggers your ID ability. Triggering Los off ICE rezzes means that you can get away without having snitch until mid-late game (gaining 2 off a bonk is as good as a au revoir tick, and helps discourage rezzing, so that you can jack out if you want). Plus, It makes money hand over fist against asset spam, which is obviously a very strong match-up for the corp (your ID is practically blank, and so are any ICE cards you've brought to the game).

Aur Revoir is a gas hog, so passive draw from Earthrise and Aaron does a lot of work.

I feel I would like a bit more rez punishment, possibly Hernando Cortez and/or compromised employees (which I neglected since I thought they would be overkill with link.

On the topic of link, yes, playing the au revoir snitch engine is annoying with 0 link. Possibly to the point that the deck struggles to be tier 2. The benefit is that, even with BOX-E, 2 MU is really not enough to play Au Revoirs, and the next best mem chip for criminals is Dysons anyway. Couple that with a couple cloud breakers and things don't look quite as bad. Still, I would prefer no link and stronger memory options. But c'est la vie.

Forged Activation Orders is decent when paired with Los and Snitch to figure out which ICE you can blow up or use to drain their credit pool. Still, it's not exciting and rarely a huge tempo shift.

So yeah, that's the deck right now, 1.1 will be looking for different memory options and a bit more rez punishment. Also, economy can be a bit janky until you've got 2+ Au Revoir. Temujin can be a nice band aid, but a bit more draw and/or money could also go a long way to making the deck a bit stronger. As always, I tend not to practice with scorch protection in my decks, because the worst two cards are usually what I drop on the day of a tournament, and I like practicing without the safety net. Any and all feedback welcome!

Different memory options: Q-Coherence Chip? You've already got Reflection for the you need.

Ugh, forgot that even with the errata Self-modifying Code is not a good match with Q-Coherence Chip.
