In Netrunner, any deck that prides itself with going fast often fizzles out before closing the game, and often cannot pressure enough servers in the mid to late game to prevent a scoring window from forming on a bad run.

At least, that was the way it was in the past.

With the introduction of Corporate Scandal, the answers have fallen upon us. Now any deck can simply slot 3 influence towards finishing strong against a scoring remote or deep central server. Combined with HB cutting down to 1 caprice and slotting global food over NAPD, the amount of answers a corp can bring against this type of hard and fast central pressure combined with blackmail on the remote is dwindling fast.

As with any Adam: Compulsive Hacker deck, there are your 3 directives not listed within the actual deck, which determine your early game- run centrals, get in, get early points, free draw at end of turn.

This can force your opponent to shore up multiple ice on HQ and draw repeatedly to secure an out. Then they begin to build their remote and perhaps even try rushing behind 2 ETR ice since you can only ABR once. This is where you can hopefully blank ABR with Dr. Lovegood and drop both the scandal and blackmail directly into the remote. From there you have SoT to pressure both a makers run into RnD with faust in the late game and blackmail / scandal recursion to put the corp into dire straits.

Crescentus plays into this strategy at a number of levels, either forcing re-rezzes on centrals to slow the corps economy, or making an HQ safe for repeated blackmail runs in the late game. Consider swapping one or two with political operative / councilman when the cards arrive, allowing for further pressure on defensive upgrades to stop the bleeding.

This deck went 3-0 at our recent winter game night kit, beating out both FA and kill decks for a 2nd place finish overall.

My only worry with Adam right now is that people are going for Moar subs! to tax Faust and David, so the 2 clicks to break one sub doesn't really help in the early game. thoughts?

The only single ice they can pop reliably to prevent you accessing in the early game are spiderweb and hive, with komainu being on the fringe. Spiderweb is indeed getting more popular, but this often leaves other servers open due to the credit cost.

Depending on the matchup, data hound in sol and architect in HB can cause you problems, but don't prevent the access. When it comes to neutral ice like enigma and datapike, they are also annoying but you need to locate when you have opportunities to click through.

Other ice don't bother nearly as much, and once you get e3 or faust you can enable crescentus and more accesses.
