A man and his debts (v1.9) - IoW 4th Place Store Champs 2016

Hello This deck was meant to be published over a month ago, better late then never.

This is the evolution of a Nasir deck I made after he came out. After playing Hayley Kaplan: Universal Scholar at my first Store Champs and not really enjoying the games I decided to go for something completely silly for the next one, so Nasir.

After some looking about at decks and playing around with some idea I thought I'd have ago with Security Nexus. Long story short the games where fun but the deck did not preform well (it was my Corp deck that got me to the cut) only winnering about 1 or 2 games in Swiss. I think the best part where peoples faces when they look over to see I was playing Nasir, especially when I played the top tier in the cut (it was a closer match then he was expecting).

I'm still working on this deck trying to improve it (currently it can be very slow), so any thought as always would be appreciated. I was thing at one point that maybe GS Shrike M2 would be a better option over Mongoose.

heers for reading.

@seeds34 I think Faust is needed really to allow you to run without needing all your breakers, I also feel that Study Guide could be slowing you down. Also with no Clot to slow down FA i feel you'll have a bad match up their.

I am surprised theirs no Kati Jones she's really a must allowing you to stay poor till you need the cash.

My Nexus Nasir served me well at the tournament I took it to only losing once it was designed more for an NBN heavy meta but maybe you can get some ideas from that I certainly didn't feel it was slow.

@PinkwarriorI was thinking Faust originally but to be honest at the time I'd still not got used to using Faust. I missed Clot in a couple of games and I believe your right about Kati Jones. The Study Guide was another option for left over money to go before I lost it to an ICE Rez. I think really only came into play once or twice.

The issue I had when making the deck was I had no idea what the meta might be like, I think on the day I played against Asset Spam, Fast Advance and a couple of kill.

Cheers for the comments and the ideas, i'm very tempted to try Faust.

@seeds34 It can be hard to judge your meta spot on and alot of it is about covering as much as you can with as little cards as possible Plascrete Carapace & Deus X should be fine for kill. I took a couple of Scrubber to help with asset spam. The massive link & clot should see you through most NBN decks.

Anyway no problem id be happy to give out more Ideas... but I kinda don't want to be preaching or telling you how to build your deck either.

@PinkwarriorHearing peoples opinions is always helpful (its the reason I publish decks), I just never promise i'll take on the advises. Funny enough recently I've been playing a Hayley Kaplan: Universal Scholar deck with a couple of Paricia and I've found they have been a good alternative to Scrubber (as long as I remember there only trash assets). I might be remaking the deck tonight and try it with Faust and Clot, not sure if i'll be keeping the Security Nexus yet.

@seeds34 That's the reason I publish my decks also to learn & to teach.

Paricia's good if you've got the free MU not so good if you need to add more for it. It dose start paying quicker and will save Influence which is nice tho.
