PPVP Reg Maxx

Priority 1: Get the PPVPs online.

This strategy is a bit slower than typical MaxX. The spends the early game defending against the popular MaxX threats like "Siphon" and "Keyhole" but these threats don't present themselves. Instead she's focusing her recursion to get PPVPs installed.

Priority 2: Setup the Rig

While she's blazing through her deck and installing PPVPs she's also building her rig and making enough runs to keep the corp on edge. Retrieval Run and Clone Chip provides the program recursion, where Deja Vu and Same Old Thing are there for PPVP and Levy.

Priority 3: Run enough to put on pressure in the early game. Once the Levy gets used run like a complete maniac.

The goal is to power through the deck as fast as possible using MaxX's ability, Inject, and I've Had Worse (if flatline isn't a concern.) Once the rig is setup and the Levy is used it should propel MaxX into a prepaid econ frenzy since the deck will be thinned out and consist primarily of event econ, recursion, and the disposable programs.

I think you're overestimating how much money those Prepaid VoicePADs are going to save you. Play a few games and track how many s (including drawing) and s you're spending to set them up, and then how many 's you actually save with them.

They're a decent efficiency polish for any event-based deck that plans on going through their stack at least twice with a Levy, but they're not worth focusing your entire strategy on (they certainly aren't worth sacrificing MaxX's speed).

@Bigguyforyou518 Hey, thanks for the feedback! I loved your 45 siphons deck. I agree with you, it's probably not worth going all-in with the PPVP strategy. I actually don't normally publish decks but i put this up because a friend and I were chatting about it and I wanted to send him the link.

When I initially put in PPVP I realized that I'd need to go all in with that strategy or else it probably wouldn't be worth it since 2/3rds would end up in the bin. Then I thought maybe I could get the sort of burst that pp kate gets once her ppvps and rig are on the table, then she goes through her deck the second time and it's super concentrated with the cards she wants. Maybe Inject could get me to power through the deck fast enough and improve my chances of drawing the ppvps.

I feel like another problem is the breaker suite is good early game (since they're cheap breakers) but won't take advantage of all the burst econ coming in post-levy. So I think it could still play pretty fast while setting up, I'm sure the payoff isn't worth how much it slows down.

I'll probably tinker with it a bit more and play a few games before abandoning it.

Yeah, I mean I wouldn't give up on it just yet. Just because PPvP is better in Kate doesn't mean it's worthless here.

What I was trying to get across is that to play MaxX, you really do have to have the attitude of "F%^#@$ it!". The fact that you might lose some of the cards in your list when MaxX trashes them is all part of the plan - you gotta just keep moving. A PPvP in the heap is not like losing a key component of your rig - it's like losing an econ card. You just shrug and keep moving, and be happy with any PPvP's that you happen to keep - they will save you money.
