cryotube 80

gameplan: keep the runner poor and build enough tempo to score out before they can pick up the pieces. work in progress, mostly tested on jnet.

Mulligan:

Main gameplan:

  • porous glacier deck with one prohibitive remote

  • Popup windows should ideally live over HQ or R&D

  • Place assets in remote to bait runs/pinholes and deplete the runner. If they don't run, even better as you will be swimming in money

  • When your econ stabilizes a bit more, start stacking the remote with Tollbooths/Ivik

  • Or if you have enough money, just score 4/2's out of hand

  • Depending on the matchup may want to Ivik R&D for shapers

Deck synergies/tips:

  • With the sheer number of code gates in this deck Ivik can usually be rezzed for anywhere between 1-3 credits which is incredible value. If subroutines pop, great, if not, you still have a 2 sub 5 str ETR which is tough to deal with

  • Free Lunch is like a broken pop up window for this ID, gaining you credits with each use (during runs) as well as placing the runner below Tollbooth threshold in pinch situations

  • Deck is weak to Pinhole Threading but has a significant number of credit generation assets to compensate. Without much card draw we really want to pop Rashidas successfully to kick start our econ. Don't be afraid to set up an Afshar or early Tollbooth if it means you can freely click a Regolith Mining License while the runner is trying to put their rig together

  • Subliminal Messaging can provide a drip credit and encourage the runner to run popup infested centrals, win win for the corp. Almost all ICE in this deck is punishing on encounter meaning that the runner cannot just bounce off with Bravado. If they do happen upon an agenda..

  • Game Over is incredibly strong in this deck as you will generally have enough credits to pop it and the tempo gain from it will buy you enough time to score at least one key agenda (Remastered Edition or Project Beale for 3 points). The runner will generally be either so poor that they lose all of their resources/hardware or if they do spend those creds they will have a hard time getting into the remote. Can be a very crucial card to play in certain matchups to cripple a runner's rig before they gain too much momentum (gotta keep the runner poor)

  • Vovô Ozetti and Magnet are tech cards and only one-ofs. Vovo can help with early rezzing of Tollbooths/Iviks and Magnet can help in certain matchups when drawn early/late (helps against trojans/anarch to preserve your very expensive Tollbooths/Iviks)

The fact this list doesn't have Tiered Subscription in it really threw me off.
