Current draft of my RP deck for comments and recommendations, local meta leaves me facing Maxx running Sifr and Employee Strike, so latest additions include Friends in High Places to allow recursion of commercial Bankers Guild and Bio Ethics to keep the runner busy whilst I can score from a single scoring server.
Play is casual and we're all fairly new players with 3-6 months of playing only.

Thanks for the advice. I've just dropped DNA tracker as in the last 3 or so games I've not managed to get it rezzed due to poor econ. I agree neural katana could do with being dropped too but I've not found a suitably painful replacement. I'll look into aiki as an option. Beanstalk is a temporary measure to help shore up my econ for the moment, again it can easily get dropped for a replacement, was struggling to find options with the cards I have so far. Interesting you promote going for more assets rather than an even split between ops and assets for econ, I'd split it so it didn't rely on one or the other type, again I'll take a look into other options. My experience of both Junebug and snare is that they're semi reliable game winners. Both have saved me but one of my usual opponents always holds I've had worse so dropping them may be a good move. It could also free up a few card slots. Caprice was one of the cards I was trying to fit in, I just couldn't find the space tonight, dropping the traps could help that. Cheers again, I've got a couple of days before my next game and a few more packs on route, should be able to nudge the deck around a little more before I play again. |

The question of operations or assets usually comes down to how quickly you want to end the game - assets sustain indefinitely but are trashable (thus necessitating more of them to tax the runner trashing them), while operations burst your money quickly but do nothing long term (which means you want to score out before your cash depletes). Playing evenly between both results in not being able to support either window particularly strongly but allowing for a decent mid game where your burst lets you set up and then defend your assets for a bit - but I still wouldn't spend 8 influence on achieving that. Again, you have Celebrity Gift in faction for operations, and Mental Health Clinic and PAD Campaign for assets, which will free up influence for more impactful cards. |
Consider Cortex Lock over Neural Katana, as it's much cheaper to rez and is outside of Mimic range. Your ICE suite is largely cheap gearchecks, so you might want to cut the Fetal AIs for either Corporate Sales Team for better economy on score or Braintrust as an easy never-advance pick. If you're intent on sticking with hard-to-steal agendas you might have a better time running punishing ICE that deals damage rather than just ending runs, such as Aiki and DNA Tracker.
Splashing 8 influence on pure economy (Commercial Bankers Group and Beanstalk Royalties) really limits your deckslot options, and mixing so much between Assets and Operations dilutes your plan somewhat. I'd either look into running more economy Assets or cutting out the traps.
Jackson Howard, as always, would be a huge help in fixing bad draws, along with shuffling traps back into your deck (since Friends in High Places doesn't really work with traps). Celebrity Gift is a solid economy choice in-faction and as long as you're not holding Project Junebugs in hand, is usually fine to play and reveal your entire HQ. Caprice Nisei is really good for protecting agendas without having to commit to large amounts of ice, especially in RP decks. See if any of these would be nice to have around.
