Dog Stolen

Inspired by CodeMarvelous' Dog Stew deck, I ran this and generally liked it. It felt like it worked most of the time, just really depended on the opening hand.

The plan is to hold an R&D lock for as long as possible, and try to win the game in the first few turns. Either play Self-modifying Code and bring out a ZU.13 Key Master, or Test Run and hopefully Scavenge a Torch. If you get to midgame, you need a Magnum Opus and hopefully either the Gordian Blade or the Torch - at which point you just try to prevent FA from winning it outright while you look for those precious agenda points.

Took this to a store championship this weekend. I played 1 Spooned the entire day, not really sure it lives up to the hype. I lost 3 games with this deck, one of which I got too greedy on a The Maker's Eye run and ended up flatlined, and then two where the corp just outpaced me. I liked the feel of it, but I need to put down the Rielle "Kit" Peddler: Transhuman decks for a while and play other stuff!!

I found that the cutlery can clog your hand up in Anarch so what i did was drop down to one of each and put in Planned Assault. I feel this could be something that would work here.

Going to 1x Spooned 1x Planned Assault this mean you can still recure it with the SoT's but also if you don't need it you can go looking for Legwork / The Maker's Eye it also save you 1 influence.

Someone else had mentioned Planned Assault as well... it wouldn't make it more likely for me to hit the card (either spooned or planned assault). I suppose I could -1 Spooned +1 Planned Assault +1 Stimhack - just for when you need it?

@lgbiteman No it won't make you more likely to hit it but it dose make you more flexible if you don't need it though if you can find 1 more influence you could go 2x Planned Assault that would make you more likely to hit it.

I think -1 spooned +1 planned +1 stimhack is a good idea it gives you another run card then to use on planned and its a good one.

Why run three different Code Gate breakers? Just run like three Gordian blades or three torches.

@NetWalker - for the options, if I see a Gordian Blade I can drop it early, and I would love to see that with a Modded. If I have a Test Run and Scavenge I'll bring out the Torch, and if all I end up with in my opening hand is a Self-modifying Code then I'll go get the ZU.13 Key Master. I can get all of these for ~3, but I've got a lot of options depending on which cards I see in the opening hand.

It might be good to replace the Magnum Opus with Armitage Codebusting - they're cheaper to come out and don't hit you in the economy as hard. I could even see an argument for replacing the Modded with Professional Contacts if I did that.
