A Spoonful of Sage

Ashmedai 20

Rough draft. Everyone are posting their Spooned Kit so I figured I'd post mine. Fairly straight forward.

I believe you forgot your scavenges while building this deck ;)

Also, it seems pretty weird to be playing Sage with Dagger (which is essentially a breaker using 2+ MU).

I think you are trying to make three things work at the same time, and they can't stand each other.

I'd drop Dagger, Cloaks and Ghost Runner.

How do you break inner barriers?

Sorry, Sage breaks barrier too.

@BananifierI figured Sage would be strong enough to break most stuff without going full out on MU although yeah, Scavenge should fit well. the Cloak and Ghost Runner could help pay for Sage but I guess with 3 Self-modifying Code the Ghost Runner is not gonna do much.

So I'm thinking -3 Ghost Runner +3 Scavenge. Thoughts?

The issue I see in this deck stems from the use of Sage alongside a stealth breaker suite - you will have to choose between capping your sage at 4 strength (on average, i.e. sage hosted on dinosaurus) or not installing your killer+cloak. Installing a Cybersolution Memchip does raise Sage's strength to 6 with a killer in play, but it cost quite a lot to set up all this rig, and you do not have the economic engine to support this.

The way I approached the sage-kit spooned idea was to not use spooned at all, but instead use Knifed, then overmind for sentries, with the understanding that you're probably only going to break a killer once, so efficiency be damned. Tinkering, a staple of kit can be used to add sentry to a code gate or barrier you simply don't want to break that often. You then only need a couple memory chips to really up your anti on sage. Lock pick as an economy crash is also worth noting. I've been playing lock pick in Kit since it was released and it is great, pays itself first run, gives value on the next turn.

@Fortunasownthat is actually brilliant. Gonna give it a try.

Heh thank you. Swordsman could be a bad time with that set-up, but I don't imagine it should end your day. You tinker swordsman, break it as a code gate and trash it as a sentry.
