[SG+SU21] René "Loup" Arcemont - Trash King

Girometics 3524

Because of his ID ability, Loup likes to trash things - especially corp cards. To help with that, you have both Carnivore and Imp to give you the ablity to trash cards that don't usually have a trash cost, and two copies of Scrubber to help pay for the cards that do. This deck is very light on icebreakers and relies on drawing either Carnivore or Imp as early as possible to start it's economy, so I've included three copies of Diesel and Earthrise Hotel to help draw into them and feed the console. Since this deck relies on installing many viruses, there are three DZMZ Optimizers to alleviate the install costs, while Retrieval Run into Fermenter can turn into another econ option. For these reasons, the game plan of this deck is to draw into Carnivore or Imp ASAP and then start running as much as possible trashing corp cards, building up enough steam quick enough to exhaust them before they can get properly set up, and then use a combination of Botuli and your icebreakers together with your hopefully many Leech counters to break into scoring servers.

Thanks for making this deck list! I'm hoping to get back into Netrunner with a smallish deck-building pool by trying out all of your SG+SU21 lists. I tried this one out first and had some questions:

  1. 1 of each breaker seems rough with no way to search my deck - I was locked out of some servers with one breaker on the bottom of my deck and the corp trashed another one with Public Trail into Retribution. The Retrieval Runs helped some, but even that seems pretty fragile if the corp anticipates it coming. I'm thinking of bumping this to 2 each. Looking at other Loup decks, this doesn't seem too irregular.
  2. The money felt kind of low to me. I was frequently clicking for credits to remove tags and pay to use icebreakers. I'm thinking of adding 3 Liberated Accounts. I considered that maybe this would make Career Fair good too since there would be lots of expensive resources, but I'm not sure what to cut for it.

The changes I'm thinking of is:

And then 2 of Tread Lightly/Jailbreak/Diesel. Do you have any advice on any of these changes?
