Finally a 40 cards deck in anarch that is easier to trigger than Nathaniel "Gnat" Hall: One-of-a-Kind.
Now, it has to be known that René "Loup" Arcemont: Party Animal is a nonbo (does not combine) with Stargate, Maw and Wanton Destruction. because you must access the card. The ID would have been much more powerful if it could.
But it combine very well with Imp, letting you gain great value from it. You can, of course, just trash by paying, which basically give you a free draw and 1 credit back after paying for the trash cost, making those actions hurt less, which is great.
Note that Hippo is just as good, as it will trigger the ID also.
The 40 cards deck size is nice, as it allow you to build a smaller deck, giving you a more consistent play experience. Building smaller deck come with its own set of problem, as card slots are much tighter. But tech card with only 1 copie of it are much more likely to come to hand.
I love that this ID is giving you incentive to use the iconic way that anarch interact with the corp, which is by trashing the corp cards.
While I would not go so far as to say it is a top tier ID in term of competitiveness, it is top tier in term of flavor.
The art is truly amazing (what a beautiful specimen), the quote is fun and the ID is fun to use. Kudos to the devs!
Indeed you are not accessing the ice. You are encountering it.

Nice review! But I just wanted to say that Loup's ability does not trigger off ice destruction like Hippo either. Perhaps you meant Carnivore?
