Rainbow and Negotiator are just speed bumps. They can be very taxing mid- to late-game.

Hive will get you some protection early-game to score a High-Risk Investment or Government Contracts. Or firm up HQ if you're agenda flooded.

Use SEA Source + Scorched Earth to flatline after a successful run. Use Punitive Counterstrike if the runner wins the shell game. Losing the shell game however, can get the runner some brain damage or tags or a broken Plascrete Carapace; none of which are good for him. If you can score a High-Risk Investment then you're practically guaranteed the traces from Punitive Counterstrike or SEA Source will stick.
