Obviously things are going to change with O&C, but for now, I think the best use of Incubator is to build towards huge Medium digs. Pair that with Demolition Run and you can really do some damage.
Build to a board state, either with Darwin or Parasite, that will let you drop a Medium or Nerve Agent, incubate it and demo run in a single turn.
No Grimoire, no problem. Djinn takes care of memory, fetches an early Incubator and lets me pawn Wyldside sooner.

To be honest, this deck has had very little testing. But without cards like Hivemind and other O&C goodies, Incubator just isn't good enough. Too often the Corp will just purge it pre-emptively. And with the amount of $$$ the Corp sits on these days, the 2 creds from Fester isn't a big deal, and you lose your Darwin counters in the process. So, in the few games I've played, I've only been able to pull off the Demolition Run combo once or twice. Also, a single Hostile Infrastructure on the board pretty much cans your plans until you're able to Imp it. Getting two Incubators out can be a game changer though, as the Corp can't quite purge fast enough to keep the counters off. I think the expanded breaker suite makes the deck more consistent, but it comes at the expense of 5 extra creds (the cost of Corroder + Mimic), a bit of tempo and a few cards (probably Fester). I am thinking of running a similar build with Quetzal. A bit more early pressure and you'll likely be able to land the combo more often. TL;DR Too much jank, not enough milling. |
I have a deck similar to this I'm about to take to a store tournament, though I'm running 2 Corroder, 1 mimic, and 1 crypsis instead of Darwin. In all honesty, how has darwin performed? How reliable are your glory runs? Does not having Corroder mean wraparound wrecks you?
