A first attempt at brain damage HB using Markus Batty, Defective Brainchips and a few other fun cards.

--- The aim: Use Marcus Batty in conjunction with various brain damage ICE to whittle down the Runner's hand. Defective Brainchips and Self-Destruct Chips bring further pain. Recur Batty with Interns to keep piling on the brain damage and hopefully get the kill or incapacitate the runner so much that you can score out with ease.

--- The reality of v1.0 It's a little passive. Pinging the runner with 2 or 3 brain damage is fairly straightforward, but in a world of Box-E, Logos and other cards that increase hand-size, it's currently difficult to kill the runner outright. It needs something more active, such as Scorch, or more damaging in a single hit, such as a sneakily played Snare or Junebug.

That said, Batty is very useful for simply trashing important programs or ending runs on agendas, so scoring out with so much economy and ICE is very doable. This is probably a consequence of my tendency to play glacial HB decks.

--- Other thoughts: - I started making this deck out of Cybernetics Division: Humanity Upgraded but the economy of ETF is absurd and I thought more beneficial than the lower hand-size. Cybernetics Division: Humanity Upgraded is undoubtably the classier choice, but I'm not convinced of its benefit, yet. - A couple of econ cards could be ditched to make room for other stuff. - Batty is great at turning back on dead ICE, ie: Rototurret once Mimic has been played. - Interns-Batty is a lot of fun. Really annoys the runner. - Personal grievance: psi-games suck and Batty is contributing to the problem :P

Just one tip: swap out the Interns for Archived Memories. You can still do the same thing with Marcus Batty if you want to but it also allows you to get back econ or ICE if you need to.

You can even bring back a Marcus Batty but then install an agenda instead so they won't run it and then you can score it out next turn. It just adds more versatility.
