Ok - so I'm an old-school Kate player and while I enjoyed her PPVP builds, they got stale very quickly. MWL to the rescue - now I'm free to build my shitty builds again without having everyone just say "should have played PPVP".
Anyway - this deck started out as a Jes experiment (and might still work with her at the cost of a bit of speed). The idea - as always - is to push as quickly toward the late-game, "full rig" stage as possible. For this deck, that looks like an Opus, Zule, [Shrike], and Battering Ram(/en/card/09049). A few Multithreaders are also desirable to mitigate run costs. That's a whopping 8 MU all tolled, but given the two Cloud breakers and the crazy cheap MU from Maya, it's never a problem. In fact, with a single Dyson installed, you can fit All 3 breakers and an Opus with 1 MU left over. CRAZY RIGHT? So you're rarely held up while digging for MU.
Some of the other card choices are fairly self-explanatory. Clot because FA is stronger than ever. Gang Sign helps there a bit too, though really I find I like it because it tends to mess up some corp players as they attempt to play around it. Maya because it's great value for the MU alone (especially with Kate's discount) and the option is always there to leverage its ability for the extra dig. And Artist Colony because everyone likes to play News Team these days and this is a fun way to turn those into an advantage.
And of course, 2x Plascrete because of how popular tag-and-bag out of NBN still is.
Your ideal opening hand will include a Magnum Opus. Even better if it also includes a Modded for that extra early tempo. From there, it's lots of drawing and tutoring to get that rig up as quickly as possible while still applying pressure where you can. Two Clone Chips and backups for all your breakers means you don't need to be quite as intimidated by face-checking as long as you're not crazy about it. Those Clone Chips are important for Clot recursion too.
I've had a fair bit of success with the deck online against both FA and glacier.
