Tried to create a Click-Taxing deck. A meanigfull one, actually.
Digressing form HB classic Glacier deck was my main instinct. Fast advance with extra Clicks for me and Click taxation for the opponent seemed like a nice plan, but I could not make it happen with less-than-15-ICE needed for exploiting the Mumba Temple. The Agendas don't match, the ICE are a bit awkward and I honestly think these two aspects do not complement eachother.
So back to the proverbial Plan B (not the Asset), Glacier mainframe.
So I piled everything that forced the Runner to lose Clicks and then just started discarding. What seemed cool in the beginning ended up being junky; Ronald Five, Ryon Knight, Victoria Jenkins, Ruhr Valley, Strongbox, Heinlein Grid, and Enhanced Login Protocol cannot exist alltogether at once. Not enough slots, Creds or Clicks. Even the glaciers have to move at some point. So, which to keep and which to get rid off?
The 22 influence points scream for Victoria. With heavy ICE and (cheeper than Bioroid Efficiency) Oversight AI-Howler combo, one could argue that she will be safely tucked away in a safe, cosy little remote server. So what's next? I went with Heinlein Grid and Ruhr Valley. The latter since it is not countered by Film Critic and the Former since with strong Econ + E3 Feedback Implants, the whole deck goes down the drain.
Enhanced Login is a staple and havving already high rez costs, I turned to Mumba Temple instead of the Root. Still not completely sold on that, since 2x Root frees a slot for a third Adonis Campaign or something.
The rest is pretty straight forward. I am still holding on to Hourglass/Oversight-Howler combo as an answer to DDoS (or Run Amok) but willing to try different approaches. Kept Barriers to a minimum for Quetzal and ample Code Gates for Kit.
The hardest part of piloting this deck is to time the Rurh Valley and False Leads correctly and, of course, the economy.
EDIT: Forgot to write about Cerebral vs Ryon. My choice was the first since Ryon needs recurrence (ideally Team Sponshorship) but with 10 Agendas out of 54 cards I think it is a week play. Also Runners fight hard to reach my installed cards, so Cerebrals will probably buy me some time to set the deck (or win the game outright).

If you are going to run a 54 card deck why not include Museum of History? |
