End Of Days v1.0

I was discussing with one of my mates about how Apocalypse seemed like an overpowered card when I first saw it but in practise it is not the broken card I thought it was going to be. It is still really powerful but it requires setup beforehand and pressure post-apocalypse. I tried making one such deck out of Criminal because with Feint and Inside Job you should be able to get into the central servers and Apocalypse but what I realised was that their pressure afterwards was not as great as what can be done out of Anarch. So here we are...

This deck has a heap of econ and I have found myself discarding some in the mid to late game. But if you don't get it in the early game, it can slow you down and leave you too far behind the Corp. I will do more testing but could possibly get rid of some econ.

Wyldside/Pancakes as your primary draw engine. If you are facing a damage deck you hold onto your I've Had Worses. Vigil and Itinerant Protesters work together to potentially give you more clickless draw and make life hard for the Corp. I think I will swap these for Turntables and Hacktivist Meetings. Turntable can help recover a lot of the early game you are conceding. Hacktivist Meeting will make life difficult for a horizontal Corp or even a Foodcoats deck. But I want to try the former cards a bit more first.

Your main win condition is Keyhole with Eater. You can do it before an Apocalypse and when ICE starts getting too taxing on R&D, you can Apocalyse to reset the board. Hopefully by that stage you should have another set of Keyhole and Eater to start over again. With Keyhole I will take out Jacksons first even before a three-point agenda. Then I go for the agendas, then ICE and then whatever else seems like it could cause you problems. When they realise you only have Eater to break ICE they will probably put a piece of ICE on Archives. Fortunately you can easily Blackmail your way in there. Faust is also good.

Parasite is there to handle Turing/Swordsman on centrals and/or other low strength ICE. Trope can help recur the cards you want to see again but I've never needed it yet. Vamp is great in this deck as Eater is your main breaker and it runs really rich so you can use that to bankrupt the Corp.

The hardest part about this deck is working out the best time to Apocalypse. Just because you can does not mean you should. If you cannot immediately apply pressure your next turn then it might be best to hold off. However, if they have 8 remotes with some PADs running then an Apocalypse is probably a good idea.

Any feedback on this deck would be great because I know it is nowhere near the best that it could be. Thank you for taking the time to read.

no Same Old Thing with all those events?

@TKO I didn't include Same Old Thing because even though I run lots of events the only ones I would want to use it to recur are Blackmail, Déjà Vu and Vamp (or possibly my current to get rid of theirs). However I do like having one on the board after you have used a Blackmail as it makes the corp think twice about scoring in a server with no rezzed ICE. I think I will include it as a two of once I work out what to cut for it.

Deck looks strong. I don't understand the Itinerant Protesters include though without other bad pub boosters. I would think Hacktivist Meeting would be a stronger current if you really wanted one, otherwise same old things, etc.
