Buddha 4.0

OneFabric 98

Theme

Initially built with Kit in mind, I switched over to Chaos Theory: Wünderkind for the extra influence and reduced deck size. I initially wanted Kit for the buddha/transhuman/Brahmatman concept, but I realized I wasn't using Kit's ability.

I wanted to make a deck with only 1 icebreaker, and that too only with Atman*. Let's see if this works!

Mechanics & Tricks

  1. You can have as many as 7 during the beginning of the game if you have Şifr installed. Ripe scenario for Overmind, especially with the Clone Chips & Scavenges.

  2. AI hate: For Wraparound, Parasite / Atman + Şifr. For Swordsman, Parasite + Şifr. For Turing, either pay the s or use the same trick used for Swordsman.

  3. Anarch hate: There are some ICE resistant to strength reduction, such as Lotus. Overmind works well with this.

  4. The Turning Wheel is for deep access for FA / rush decks.

How To Play

Turns 1 - 3 Develop board state with Atmans of necessary strengths. Keep pressure on centrals.

Turns 4 - 6 Keep centrals occupied and Datasuckers ready. Raid scoring remotes when needed.

Tips, Suggestions & Advice

As usual, always welcome. Let me know what you think and what you would do different. If you try out this deck and (dis)like anything, feel free to let me know. Happy running.

*Yeah, I twitched when I added Overmind but I can live with that. 1

Nice deck!

What about Smoke? You lose a bit of value from scavenging the overmind but you get a pleasent econ boost if you are on the atman plan.

How good is the overmind/scavenge plan? I am kind of curious if you could go all out with Same Old Thing to recur the scavenge and exchange the multi-threaders for an omni-drive or something crazy. An extra parasite goes a long way towards curbing arc lockdown so it'd be nice to free up the influence if possible.

Thanks @SillySod!

Hmm...Smoke would be a good idea as well. Not sure at this point which would be better, but I like your idea.

I think the overmind / scavenge combo is fairly common and will work well.

I did not think of Omni-drive. Not only would that free up influence like you said, it would also add to the memory. The problem is that with Omni-drive, the order of install becomes more important. Also Multithreader gives an extra per turn, which I think is substantial? Last, Omni-drive's is limited to the hosted program, whereas Multithreader does not have that limitation.

Thanks for commenting!

I have been doing okay with a single Parasite. Once I think I might have lost it to a Macrophage, but that's about it.
