Gabe Robbing (1st @ Canadian Nationals Side Event)

Uwawa 319

My runner deck at the standard constructed event going on beside the Canadian Nationals. Piloted this deck to a record of 7 wins 1 loss.

Net Celebrity was added in as a way to kick corp currents and the free dollar is always a bonus on the first run.

Only thing I'm looking at changing is finding a place for a dedicated sentry breaker. The 3 Faeries and 2 Knights did enough but it was getting quite close some games.

Three Steps Ahead quickly shined as well especially with Desperado out and if the corp is creating a ton of servers like Near Earth Hub. It's like getting 1 turn with Gabe's ability on every server!

More tweaking to be done to the deck but so far it is looking quite good.

I think Three Steps Ahead is a great call in Gabe or Ken and in a sideways meta. If you can hit HQ, you are making 11 Creds AND still accessing.

Sprinkle in Dirty Laundry for extra awesome.

Its too bad Hemorrhage is so expensive, because I think Hemo and three steps ahead could have a beautiful relationship.

Just curious, why Gabe over Ken?

@skaterforsale I went with Gabe because I found in testing that with Net Celebrity and Desperado along with Gabe's ability that I could pressure a steady run into HQ most turns without losing any economy or sometimes even gaining a cred or two if the timing was good with Crescentus or Emergency Shutdown.

This then usually lead to a weak R&D that I could hit with The Maker's Eye and forced the corp into taking a lot of clicks for money and trying to keep centrals defended.

I have played around with a Ken version of the deck but I found Gabe ran better with my play style.

Defiantly could see a retooled version working in Ken though.

I have a question. Do you have any problems with your economy in this deck?

I'm also concerned about economy, as it seems non-existent.

@Kroen @greasy spicetasterOverall at the event I didn't have too many issues with economy. I found almost every game I had some sort of way to generate money in my opening hand and with all the NEH that I knew was going to be at the event, there were a lot of open servers I could hit for Three Steps Ahead and Desperado credits.

Emergency Shutdown and Crescentus helped to keep the corp very poor so that I had little if any ice to break on whatever attack route was most vulnerable.

Having said this the deck has changed with the coming of new cards and with Blue Sun it would need some reworking but I have moved on to another Criminal for the current card pool.
