Jumon-Ji!!!

StackVandal 42

Cooked this deck up the night before Belfast 2024 H1 CO at 2am and only tested it once. Managed to score Jumon in more than half my games with Regenesis. Although I unfortunately lost every corp match against more experienced players, every game was a close one, and more importantly, fun to play!

Jumanji

I tried to play a Weyland deck before this deck but it just wasn’t my play style as I’ve always been a Jinteki fan (especially PE) I did however think that cards like Tree Line were interesting and could work in other decks. I’m not sure this deck really makes sense as it does a lot of different things and maybe not that well but having advance-able ice like Ice Wall, Akhet, Hortum, made it good for late game and secured my agendas quite well.

With Jumon, I was advancing Charlotte Caçador which was a great combo. Then I was using Trick of Light to move cards I’d have charged, even snares and spin doctors onto my advance-able ice. Cohort Guidance Program was also advancing my ice.

The damage cards like Snare! and Sting! and House of Knives put enough pressure on runners to make it harder for them, but I never managed to kill any of them. Could be an issue of my timing.

Money wise some games I was usually doing well because of my Celebrity Gift. I usually only showed when there were no agendas and it had worked well with Flower Sermon to make sure I got rid of an agenda if I needed to. Or even Anemone.

Spin Doctor was vital for being able to regenisis. Though it looks like one less regenisis might have made more sense.

Once the runner is able to figure out my advance-able ice strategy, my Anemone and Anansi can be nasty surprise. And despite all the revealing I’m doing to make money, I think this deck still managing to surprise is what makes it so fun.
