Pre-rotation decklist |
I have wanted to build an NBN glacier deck for quite some time. I have always liked the faction, but am not the biggest fan of fast advance decks. I believe that one of NBN's strengths is its ability to tax the runner. The primary combo in this deck is Troll+ Heinlein grid to force the runner to either end the run or lose their credit pool. Once this occurs, cards such as Red Herrings and Predictive Algorithm make it impossible for the runner to steal agendas.
Agendas Astroscript plays a big role in this deck due to its ability to create pressure and force the runner to clot in order to stop the astrotrain. NAPD contract is a logical addition due to the fact that it pairs well with the Troll + Heinlein Grid combo and Predictive Algorithm. I have utilized NAPD to create scoring windows due to the extreme cost of trying to steal one. Eden Fragment makes it easier to extend the glacier and it reduces agenda density. Utopia Shard is absolutely deadly in this deck when scored because it makes it incredibly difficult to pressure agendas in score servers.
Assets Jackson Howard is our lord and savior, nothing much needs to be said. Marked Accounts and PAD campaign act as work compression due to the fact that they are both inexpensive to rez but expensive to trash. Such forces the runner to either deal with them or allow my economy to develop. One card that I need to find room for is Daily Business Show.
Upgrades Ash is great due to the fact that it synergizes well with my ID and the rest of the taxation in the deck. Heinlein Grid is a major combo piece that combos well with Red herrings, Troll, Heimdall, and Viper. Once these are in play the runner needs to trash them to avoid losing their credit pool altogether.
Operations Pretty common set for NBN. The interns keep key cards on the table if the runner is able to trash them.
ICE Eli, Heimdall, Viper and Troll all play well with Heinlein Grid and are generally taxing to deal with on their own. RSVP is great in front of Troll or on a score server once Predictive Algorithm is in play. Cards such as Tollboth, Lotus Field and Wraparound are simply commonsense additions to the deck.

That's not a bad idea. I was considering it, would probably make sense to drop the single Beale for it |

Unless you feel you are getting a ton of work out of your Lotus Fields, I'd consider losing them for another Heinlein Grid and some other ICE. I think Turing would be really nice here too; you should be able to crack open a pretty good scoring window if the runner can't break it on the first encounter. Not sure where you'd find the influence though. |
I think you should give Character Assassination a look. It has been the MVP in my NBN glacier, killing Kati, Same old Thing, Personal Workshop, Aesops and Pro Co amongst others. Its great.
