Since Egret was spoiled I got very excited about Kit. Here's my best effort Kit deck.
Magnum Opus gives you the economy you need. You want it out as early as possible. If you don't have Magnum Opus or Self-modifying Code in your opening hand then you should probably mulligan.
Once you have Magnum Opus out then Beth and Ubax can help you get through your deck, and assemble your super-rig.
In the early game Houdini can get you in every server. Stealth isn't vital, as a lot of cheap ice is Strength 2 anyway. Beth is also someone you want out early. Against glacier builds you'll need to stockpile credits on her. Against fast advance feel free to spend them to keep your speed up.
Account Siphon is a nice early game surprise. No one expects it in Kit. If you've been pressuring R&D it's likely that HQ ice will have been neglected.
In the late game your rig will get you in anywhere, and R&D will be completely locked down. How do you get there?
In the mid game use Magnum Opus a lot, and try to deny economy assets. There is a risk of you running out of memory, (this deck might be better off 2x Ubax 3x Mem Chip) so keep that in mind as you draw through your deck. While in the early game Egret is best used to keep accesses coming, as time goes on focus on the economic potential of the card.
You may have to choose whether to install Corroder or Blackstone. Most of the time the answer is Corroder; it's cheaper to install and more efficient. The exceptions are when you draw Blackstone first, and when your opponent seems to like strength 3 barriers. A discussion of ice efficiency vs advanceable barriers is more complex, but generally the Corp will be able to advance them to maximise your spending of stealth credits.
"Freedom Through Equality" is chosen over Mad Dash for its compatibility with The Maker's Eye. Oh, and you can knock out an annoying current.
My initial build had two Clone Chips to recur Egret. However, I found that it was very rare for people to trash their Egretted ice.

I am absolutely getting use of Clot. You throw it down, and a fast advancer has to purge virus counters. That's a big win as far as I'm concerned. (You can also SMC it). As for Refractor, eh. This deck is fast enough and the 1 credit saving is insignificant in a MO deck anyway. Much better to draw the Houdini you want. I can see the argument for Cloak but memory is at a premium here. |
Neat!
I've found that Clone Chip is really powerful with Egret in the trash (overdrawing to get it there). That gives you a whole extra later of ice per installed chip that you can safely run.
With no Clone Chip and no Sacrificial Construct, are you really using Clot at all? I ask because if you switch Corroder for an Inti, Clot could become a second Account Siphon.
Also, I super recommend swapping 1 Houdini for a Refractor and 1 Ghost Runner or Lockpick for a Cloak. The speed boost you get from those guys is a huge part of the power of stealth Kit.
