Decode This

Not a top tier deck by any stretch but this thing is so much fun to play. The idea was to make an all codegate deck and then hopefully get rid of the runner's decoder to lock them out of everything. While it does not do that consistently, it does other interesting things. For whatever reason, every game I've played with this I have been able to score a utopia fragment (one I used to never score). That agenda plus NAPD make the runner have a bad time. Targeted Marketing is hilarious if you can look at an opponents deck and know what they want to play next. The deck's econ is all operations. Against Ed Kim that would really suck but I haven't seen to much of him. Lots of people told me not to go all operation econ, but without fail I have been filthy rich and had the card draw I wanted with the econ in this deck. Archer is there to try to snag that decoder so sometimes don't rez it if it won't do what I want it to. Janus is there because every game I have so much money and if they get the drift that you're "only running code-gates" janus can be really funny. Well take it for a spin and give me some feedback.

Is there any reason not to do this in Weyland Consortium: Building a Better World with barriers instead of code gates? Just curious why you went with Haas-Bioroid: Engineering the Future instead of something you might get more Identity uses from.

Good question. I originally tried this in an Industrial Genomics: Growing Solutions deck running Encrypted Portals. But the reason I like ETF is for the extra econ boost, the green/blue level clearances for my op-econ. In faction Aggressive Secretary and also Turing, which is not easy to splash. The reason for code gates was a meta call. Everyone was using Cerberus "Rex" H2 as their primary decoder. Meaning that they'd burn through counters fast and have to recur it to play my game. Obviously with this build Torch or Gordian Blade become very powerful so ideally I'd like more consistent ways of trashing decoders. I've also considered swapping around some influence and trying to get a Tollbooth in here but thus far haven't had luck with it. I like your idea though of going all barrier breakers. My only concern with that is the very popular use of Corroder. One reason I wouldn't want to do it out of Wayland though is because everyone knows Wayland is all about barriers and Archer. But I'd love to do all barriers out of Jinteki... that'd catch people off guard.
