Praise Gaben, 3rd Place at a Local Tourney

Praise Gaben and he shall unleash his Steam Sales upon the unexpecting.

Jokes aside, this is the deck I just recently used at a local tournament, with this deck going completely undefeated. I ended up going 4-2, landing myself in third place, although I could have gotten second but my strength of schedule was a tad bit lower, therefore causing me to drop rank slightly.

Deck basically has a few different ways to start of the game, generally I like starting with 1-2 Compromised Employee right off the back. Two in the starting hand you say? But that seems quite unlikely. That is why I use Hostage, which helps search for the other two quite quickly. But not always I can start with both cards, but having one or the other generally is good, with Sure Gamble and/or Desperado/Security Testing.

In addition, having Compromised Employee and Security Testing is a good way to go into servers unopposed. They either waste their money to give me money, or simply try to hold on and let me having my money. And if they do wanna go ahead and rez that ice, I can go quickly fetch for the breaker now needed to get into that server for future runs.

Another decent starting hand, is having Sneakdoor Beta and if possible a HQ Interface and/or Sure Gamble, where I can quickly rush their unprotected HQ and grab their agenda's or partially see what the greater plan is. And sneakdoor is great, as it forces heavy protection on both HQ and Archives, which can allow for easier access in the remotes or on R&D. Doesn't matter what the corp does, you will find a way.

After looking through the basics, you guys are probably starting to look at some cards in question, like that Traffic Jam, and then there's I've Had Worse. I've had worse is fantastic, it has allowed me to run through some deadly servers without fear of death, as I can sacrifice my hand for a cheaper run while still holding on some cards as I access potential threats and/or dangerous agendas. Additionally, it keeps from straight up from dying through unprepared scorches, that random snare, or just some random face check. Also, its quite unexpected outside of Anarchs at the moment, giving me an element of surprise.

And then there is traffic jam. With some of the recent packs, I've been predicting that there would be a more use of Currents. If anything it really helps against Enhanced Login Protocol , and has at several times delay the corp by a turn, allowing to prepare better for the next turn so I can steal it.

Through some gutsy play styles, and planning, I was able to pull through the tournament, had to play against Blue Sun, RP, and EtF, each was a tough fight, but I had a ton of fun using this deck.

why not run eshutdown and/or crescentus in order to capitalize on comp employee, and pressure cash denial some? I feel like comp emp. is good on its own, but great when an Ice pays you two times.
