[STANDARD] Why The Holo Man Grins Like That

Mancini 62

Are you wondering why The Holo Man smiles like a maniac? I have a theory:

The Holo Man is in a constant state of orgasm.

Let me explain.

So you probably know the Holo Man Ob combo by now, but if you don't, here's a quick explanation.

  1. Install The Holo Man and Reconstruction Contract in the same server.
  2. Advance RecoCo to >5 advancement counters with Holo Man.
  3. Pop the RecoCo at the beginning of your turn to tutor a Clearinghouse and flatline the runner. If the runner is foolish enough to run your stacked RecoCo, pop it, tutor an Urtica Cipher and flatline them.

The rage-quits you'll accrue playing this deck only add to Holo Man's orgasmic bliss.

Since you don't need agendas to make big daddy Holo Man nut, I just added a bunch of 5/3s. The Basalt Phallus helps recur Holo Man if he happens to get prematurely trashed. Hostile Takeover gives you nut money.

You might wonder why I'm not playing more into the usual Ob asset game plan. That shit's too slow, and we don't want daddy Holo to chafe too much. Instead, we play Vaping Gangster Man and Hostile Takeovers to get the aforementioned nut money to execute the combo. Daddy Holo is expensive, after all. Don't worry about the bad pub from your shameless exhibitionism; it won't matter when the runner is covered in Holo Man's special sauce. You can use Extract on your rezzed Sandstones or Afshars to fetch big daddy, or pop Mavirus to achieve the same effect. Sprint helps find your combo pieces and can also shuffle drawn pre-recorded orgasms and/or brothels back into R&D.

Kudos to Ark1t3kt for showing me this combo on Jnet.

TL;DR Holo Man be nutting

Just a note: you have to have advanceable cards on the board to use Reconstruction Contract, so get some advanceable ice in!

@koga you can't just spring it?

@Mancini nope, it's a bit of a rules thing: Recoco needs to "see" an advanceable card in order for you to use it, but it cannot see the future where Ob installs a card that is a valid target. Otherwise, you could (in theory) install something else (a Spin) and have nowhere to put your advancement counters
