With thanks and love to Maninthemoon, and all 72 players that made it a joy to be playing netrunner until 05:00 AM!
I'm not usually a big fan of online events, but this one felt special 💙.
Congrats to FireRL on fighting his way through the losers bracket and taking the crown 👑.
Shout out to EA Sports 🏅 for being just a great group of friends to play netrunner with, and who made an amazing showing at the tournament.
2nd at the 2024 Online Summer Showdown
Wins against 2 x Loup and 2 x Arissana.
Loss to FireRL's Loup in the final
(Chisel Charm is a very good answer to Hammer)
I love this deck. It's scrappy, and powerful, and scary, and it never lets the runner get comfortable, and I am slightly sad that I don't get to play it any more.
This is the 44 card variant of Working Prototype R+ that came out of the same conversation as Davz's Fly to EMEA winning 49 card variant.
It gets surprisingly good results against Loup. (Especially if Loup is being played by someone from TAI Breakers 😝).
Screenshot of EA sports discord at the end of round 4, where we went 3-0 in our TAI breaker pairings
We are not at all bitter at J0N4LD for crushing us on our home turf 💙
With only 1 x ARES, Lady Liberty loses some of it's pizzazz, but I'm not sure that we needed it, and anyway it doesn't trigger Amani Senai. Honestly, I'm not even sure that we need the 2nd The Holo Man.
Hammer is difficult to play outside of NBN: Reality Plus, but it hits like a truck and significantly improves our worst matchup (Loup).
Warm Reception is cracked. It is wild to me that NSG printed a political asset that might be even more powerful than anything Mumbad had to offer. The only tricky thing about warm reception is that, if the runner doesn't trash it, the start of turn triggers quickly get out of hand, and it's quite easy as Corp to start tripping over yourself and throw a game that should otherwise be in the bag.
This deck is unplayable with the new banlist.
Bellona is too important, and Sable will quickly fill the predator gap that Loup leaves behind (assuming that Loup falls out of favour).
Did Bellona need to get banned?
depends on whether the Trib ban means that Sable now starts to see play again, and whether Criminal is as good into NBN as I believe it is.
Is NBN dead without it?
Pretty much (aside from Reeducation kill combos)

You and not_yeti absolutely crushed it, seeing you both undefeated at r6 was sick
But TAIB will remember this. (Long live the rivalry <3)
