Bit of a jank deck I've been playing around with, with a friend. I've mostly been on the receiving end of this version, but while it was abusive if it drew the right cards, it always just seemed a little too slow to get ahead of the corp and apply the stranglehold.
I think it was trying to do too much, so I removed the Carvers, Imps and Aumakua, in favour of more card draw and Poemu to get the combo building.
The idea is to get the corp drowning in bad pub, partly to set up your econ engine, but also to strangle them with Itinerant Protesters. Limiting their hands should force them to discard ice to their archives, allowing you to run R&D with Turning Wheel and Stargate, to filter out those agendas. By reducing their hand size, you almost guarantee they're at full capacity, meaning you get extra card draw with Vigil, which keeps your tempo going.
Because of this, I prefer running the heap breakers, as it allows you to face check punishing ice, and draw the breakers as needed, instead of waiting for your rig to be installed.
It's a bit janky for sure, and if you can't keep bad pubs on the corp, a lot of your gimmicks fall flat, reducing you to a regular tempo breaker deck with no plan B (that's still enough sometimes), but once it clicks, it's rather oppressive to play against. More so if you can Rebirth into something like Hoshiko turn one. That's just downright gross to play against.
