Encrypted Evolution

redhand 15

Boosted Code Gates are so great.

Score Encrypted Portals as fast as you can. Try to hide Punitive Counterstrike as long as you can. They can not expect the unexpected.

Use Will-o'-the-Wisp!

My favourite turns are:

When they don't know that you have Punitives:

When they know that you have Punitives:

  • Celebrity Gift
  • Show 2xFetal and 3xPunitive
  • Restructure

10 strength Little Engine? Why not. ;-)

Think I might give this deck a go! How do you feel that this would work in Chronos Protocol: Selective Mind-mapping once its out? Using the net damage to Snipe their codegate breakers with net damage and locking them out?

Of course Clone chipping is less expensive than Self-modifying Code but on the other hand Special Order will not work.

Chronos Protocol: Selective Mind-mapping is kind of additional Will-o'-the-Wisp so I think it might work. I will try it.

"Quetzals hate this one weird trick!"

I've always wanted to see how a codegate deck like this would do in Tennin Institute: The Secrets Within. The problem with this though? Yog.0 is making a comeback with Net-Ready Eyes. I know Will-o'-the-Wisp and Encryption Protocol are there to help, but still. It's sad when you can't find those cards.

The trick is that you can win without Will-o'-the-Wisp or Encrypted Portals. Most games was won by Punitives. That's weird because the idea of this deck was Will-o'-the-Wisp + Encrypted Portals.

Hey, I'm planning on taking this game to a tournament this week. After a bunch of games on Jinteki and a few in person, I have some thoughts.

I've got a decent record with this deck, I think right now I'm about eight and two. One loss was to straight-up Eater/Keyhole Maxx when I didn't draw enough ICE early on to protect R&D. The other was to Stealth Andy who could reliably siphon me and ignore me trashing resources.

As much as it hurts, and believe me when I say that it hurts, I cut Little Engine to make room for two Crisium. It's an expensive card, but it's important. Ideally a Wisp would serve the same function, but all too often my Wisps get trashed before I see them.

I've also been thinking about the agenda suite a bit. Future Perfect is obviously good, but doesn't the anti-theft protection hurt you a bit sometimes too? Sometimes you really want the Runner to take that hit when they're low on cards and you have Punitives in hand. Would the Fragment suite work better? All three of them seem useful in the context of this deck. Hades especially would be nice, since the econ is a little bit fragile.

I also cut Gemini for card slots and I don't feel bad about that at all. I never want to pay to boost the Trace anyway. I threw in an Eli because Eli is good.

Anyway, I really like this deck! It's fun to play, it feels like 'real Netrunner' with a fruity splash of jank.

:) Great to hear that you like this deck.

Crisium Grid is a good idea. I think I'll try it. Poor Little Engine... Gemini is here because I want to force Runner to install sentry breaker. So you can try another sentry ICE. I played Cortex Lock before. It can be useful after getting rid of breaker with Will-o'-the-Wisp.

I thought about Fragments but I have played long time with RP and I think I'm a good PSI player. ;-) Maybe I will give a chance to Fragments.

Cortex Lock would be nice. Most games, people have installed Sentry breakers immediately regardless.

Yeah, I'm honestly not sure at all about the Fragments, but I think it's worth testing. I'll let you know how it works out.
