"Maybe we shouldn't paaaap The Holo Man"

- me just now

This is the deck I brought to the Thesis Procrastination CO, which I was also running - so it was a bit of a busy day for me!

I only went 1-2 with this deck (vs AceEmpress on Lat, ChonkySeal on Lat and Lap on Hoshiko), although the game vs the first Lat was only lost because of a ~1/20 topdeck followed by a perfectly Hushed Magnet meaning I couldn't move Physarum Entangler off an Archer. I'm fine. :P

Fortunately, my Runner deck, girls 2, was undefeated and thus I made 2nd place.

This is unsurprisingly a continuation of my paaaap deck, which is very similar. Changes are as follows:

  • Seamless Launch became The Holo Man. I am deeply unsure of this change. Holo Man is significantly more expensive - I have only ever used Holo Man to never advance SDS (and can be grabbed by Mavirus), which is a really nice trick, but I don't think there's enough else that it is doing to make it worth the slot. On the day, I did not get to use him, but that might just be me not spotting the correct lines.
  • Project Atlas became Azef Protocol, following from bblum's list and the fact that we don't have Seamless for easy 4/2 Atlas. I think this is correct in this version of the list. People may remember that the first pa in the deck name paaaap stands for Project Atlas, but now it stands for.... Protocol (of) Azef.
  • With some of the spare influence, I put in a Hafrún and a Sprint. I loved this so much - the threat of Mavirus into Hafrun in front of an already rezzed Archer is amazing. I think the deck should be focused a bit more towards this.
  • I also swapped a Mavirus into a Calibration Testing. This is incorrect, I think - I used it exactly once during the tournament and not at all during testing. I'd rather have the influence for the second Magnet or something.

In conclusion: I'm not sure. I have some ideas revolving around my head but no card changes to go with them. We'll see, it's a fun archetype!

Thank you to QEH (Quear Earth Hub, local queer testing group) for being a kind space to test this deck in, and to everyone who came to the tournament! I will now retreat back into thesis hell.
