I won 5 out of 5 games at Verona Regional with this, doing the combo three times and scoring the old-fashioned way twice. In one game, I just had to, because of the Hades Shard )
A less perfect performance as runner kept me out of top 4 on tiebreakers, and I finished 6th.
The plan is to just score agendas the usual way until the combo pieces come together. The combo costs just 8 credits and produces a 8-advanced Beale:
1. play Jackson
2. play Shutdown
3. play Diagnostics into Interns (into second Jackson), Biotic Labor, Reclamation Order (into 2x Diagnostics)
4. play Diagnostics into Interns (into third Jackson), Interns (into Beale), Shipment
5. play Diagnostics into 3x Shipment
To get to a 5-pts Beale, you need either Jackson already on the table, or a scored Astro, or a Biotic Labor in your hand.
I faced Clot 3 times. Once a Shutdown and a CVS helped me to win just by riding the astrotrain. Once two Shutdowns took care of a Clone Chip, enabling the combo a few turns later. Once I did the combo in the face of a Clone Chip, just adding Interns (into CVS) in place of a Shipment at the last combo stage.
A reminder: if you want to start the combo with Jackson already on the table, make sure you have 2 empty remotes )))

I still can't make my mind around the exact execution of the combo, but installing the INTERNS into a new remote ( I assume) must trigger the NEH ability and mix-up the Order? Also what happens if your NEH ability makes u draw and u have 0 cards in R&D? Auto-lose? |

Subliminal Messaging is a good way to get a click back during an AD if you don't need to use all 3 operations (in this case, it's a cheaper and influence free biotic labor). I suppose that Biotic does you better when you have to just play astrobiotics, but a subliminal in the decklist would still reduce the number of credits you need on hand to fire off the combo, and would enable you to use biotic labor to FA your first Astro before firing the combo, or drawing it later to fire the bigger project Beale. Love the list btw--I played an PS/AD TWIY before NEH came out that was okay, but it tended to struggle when I couldn't find the combo pieces--this seems like a much tighter list that is less beholden to firing the PS/AD combo--or at least finding it. Congrats on the win. |

I had a Cerebral Imaging: Infinite Frontiers deck that did the Power Shutdown / Accelerated Diagnostics combo for the 1 turn win, but it relied on scoring 3 agendas and it was before Leela Patel: Trained Pragmatist came out. :) I like this list better because it just relies on 1 agendas over scored. I think I'll try it out! |

Ehhh, I mean no offence against the maker of this deck, but I really hate cheesy stuff like this. You're not playing a game so much as you're exploiting a broken combination of cards to hit the win button. Fair enough in tournament play I guess but I'd hate for this to become how people play Netrunner. |

I don't think you can really compare this to a Scorched deck though, or even a Hivemind deck. I know there's no definitive line between cheesey shenanigans and a legit combo, but come on, this kind of thing is just taking the piss :) |

It's not like this deck doesn't have angles of attack against it, either. It's not happy if the runner is Noise and just sits back, milling it - it has to use its Jackson Howards and once they're gone, they can't be used for the combo. |

Accelerated Diagnostics is the only card in the deck with no value on its own. Everything else does something useful (almost) without having to wait. One of the reasons I like this deck over Butchershop is that all of our combo cards (with the exception of Accelerated Diagnostics) do something good for us when we draw them instead of sitting dead in our hand. We can shut down an icebreaker and score an agenda, play Interns into JH or a PAD Campaign or a trashed piece of ice, Reclamation Order a couple of Hedge Funds or Power Shutdowns or Quandarys, score with Biotic Labor etc. The correct style of play is not to hoard the combo pieces, to use the first Jackson Howard for draw and save yourself from agenda flood if need be. So cutting the third Diagnostics was in the back of my head for some time. While the latest changes mean winning in less of a style, they help to win more consistently and more often. |

Was Noise not a thing in your meta? I'm really surprised to see this being undefeated at regionals. Here you just have mostly every list running either Hades ot Utopia. |

From my online experience, the Noise match up is about 50-50. While they have some scary stuff like Imp and Hades Shard, they are slow to set up. My favorite tech against them is going after Aesop's Pawnshop with Breaking News. |
Nice! Good to see a new take on the old train. :)
