Deck valid after Sixth Rotation |
While it seems like a lot of folks this weekend were playing Shoot the Moon PD, the skunkvoid version of PD remains extant. This deck went 3-1-1, the draw being an ID.
PD was the first deck I picked up about a year ago, after spending almost five years away from Netrunner. I browsed through NRDB lists, and PD looked a lot like the jammy HB decks of yore. A year-ish later and it’s still a deck that I really enjoy playing.
This deck is just regular, straight over the plate PD. I tried a lot of different flex slots, and eventually settled on the following:
NEXT Activation Command: No one wants to break an 8 strength Bran.
Tatu-Bola: Good against trojans, sometimes surprises the runner with the few extra credits you need for a defensive upgrade, and another cheap barrier to jam a Rashida behind that can’t be bypassed with Physarum.
Predictive Planogram: helps recover from low credits, or to find that last agenda. Very rarely, both.
The third Spin Doctor: two spins felt just fine during testing, and the third one became a planogram
Mavirus: didn’t want or need it until the second game of the top cut, but that game had much bigger problems and I don’t think Mavirus would have saved me.
Round 1 win vs Cannister on Lobisomem Kit: took a mulligan into a slow start. Rezzed four barriers and no other ICE and was able to score out behind double Border Control and Hagen after Kit trashed two Tranquility Home Grids.
Round 3 win vs Funkyman232 on World Tree Ari: very close game that ran to time. Could find the last agenda I needed until the very end. NEXT locked out a mostly broke Ari from challenging the remote or making another conduit run.
Round 5 win vs Erika on World Tree Ari: I was broke for a lot of the game, and fortunate that the tree didn’t come down for a few turns. A few remote runs and the Ari was broke enough that I was able to just sneak by the Ikawah needed to win.
Round 7: ID
Game 2 of the cut, loss vs analyzechris on Crew Hosh: this is not a matchup I knew well, and I just misjudged my approach from the start. An ensuing agenda flood from a bad starting position, and excellent piloting from my opponent put the second nail in the coffin.
Shoutouts are in my runner deck write-up, which is a marginally more interesting list, but not by much.

Congrats! I've been playing with YDL-based PD for a while now (more similar to Shoot the Moon) and have found that I'm quite happy just using Fully Operational in place of Planogram. The numbers are basically the same with a single remote, and it's in-faction. Could get you that third spin if you wanted it. |
Planogram????
Also, congrats!
