Faust Theory 2.0

b4ralai 1155

The purpose of this deck is simple: win.

That can look obvious, but now lot of decks focus on economy, denial, ice destruction, and so on.

This deck focuses on gaining 7 fucking agenda points as fast and as efficiently as possible.

Gain, not steal.

This is an autopilot deck working on 4 phases

-phase one, turn 1 up to 6: set up in this phase you are going to draw untill you get mopus (or smc) theophilus and game day. Meanwhile, you can install some clonechips, the leprechaun, and force some safe run. Is worthless click mopus for more than 5 credits, since you must be ready to lose all for Theo's drawback

-phase 2, turn +1: wtf install theophilus with your first click (or first and second if you hostage him) and mopus twice to save your hand size. Look at your opponent face---> o.O

-Phase 3: maths spend turns "mopusing" unroll you have exactly X credits, where X=41-cards in hand -1 - card in archives - card in play. once you reach that amount, install hyperdriver on leprechaun. This phase usually take 2 max 3 turns of mopus

-phase 4: show off use hyperdriver for 3 more clicks. Play game day and draw the whole deck. Play Faust, as more clonechips you can, hyperdriver, and sure gambles. Pass.

-phase 4: fireworks use hyperdrive. With 20+ card in hand and 20-30 credit in your pool nothing can stop you. Legwork HQ, ME r&d, run archive looking for 4 points. Clonechip help you setting up the rig you discard to break with Faust. Last 3 click of the turn are 3 notoriety.

Best case scenario, gg wp worst case scenario, 5 points, rig up, load of money, mopus to feed your IB and a levy ready to feed your Faust with another game day. Clot force the Corp to drop agendas down, Faust can be beaten only by caprice.

Gain your fucking points.

Credit goes to aldaris helping me increase the efficiency of this deck.

I run this deck during Verona's regional taking 2 win and 2 timed win (my slow corp glacier forced me to play in 15 minutes).

Sign your pact with mephistopheles.

Edit from 1.0: -removed daily cast for 2 Katy jones. Helps after theophilus drop to start from 6+ credit

-removed mimic for chameleon. Pretty much the same effect. Chameleon is more versatile but not permanent

-added fall guy to prevent Theo trash. If no trash occurrs it is still a click for 2 credit

-removed indexing (never used) for a traffic jam. Meta call and currents counter

Hi there, I wook the V.1 of your deck and made some changes to it. Won a store championships so the deck is very solid. I made some of the changes that you have made (removed daily casts). The main cards that are different to yours are ones that play in the set-up turn.

First is Mass Install. I play this on the click immediately after Game Day to play 3 programs (e.g Leprechaun, Hyperdriver and Faust!) in a single click.

The second is The Helpful AI. It makes Faust a 4-Str icebreaker for that all-important turn.

These changes give me both a better chance at a one-turn win AND it gives me a far more robust play state if it doesn't get 7 agenda points.

One of my turns on Sunday was -Discard Hyperdriver -Game Day (Draw deck) -Mass Install (Install Hyperdriver, Faust and Inti) (already had Gordian Blade -Clone Chip -Clone Chip -The Helpful AI

Thoughts?

Interesting looking deck, whats your plan for when they install upgrades in the centrals i.e Crisium Grid?

With 7 clicks, i have one click left to run the crisium central again after trash, and trigger fireworks anyway. Once you try you find out that you can't be kicked out any server, except caprice's ones.

consider also that the Corp will try to rez as many ice as possible in a single turn (usually 5+): enough to force some recovery turns, while you can keep pressure with your 20+ credits left and regular rig.

This is a versatile deck, the fireworks are only the Nos boost

Isn't Diesel better than Quality Time? I'm not so sure about leaving Diesel out.

What about Sharpshooter? And why is the third Hyperdriver not included? Seems like an obvious include for me.

Nice deck overall though!

Having played the deck a few times, it was very effective won all its games and that was when people knew what it was trying to do. I prefer Quality Time over Diesel as when you are looking for cards you want them quickly.

As for changes I'd take out -3 Sure Gamble I use Magnum Opus decks quite a bit and I don't feel the need for Sure Gamble. In its place I put in 1 Hyperdriver and 1 Same Old Thing In all my games I didn't win in the one turn and in 1 game I lost Notoriety to net damage so being able to Same Old Thing it out could be useful
