FodderFusion (1st @ TriCity Store Championship)

This is the closest thing I could get to a decent jinteki glacier in the current meta. The idea is that without the longevity of Rezeki, the runner economy has its limits and if we survive long enough, eventually they are going to run out of money.

So we start with securing our servers with cheap ice and slowly build up, all the while battling agenda flood with Spin Doctors and Attitude Adjustments. And once we are set, we just divert power from our cheap ones into the most taxing monsters that roam the cyberspace and start scoring in the Anoetic server – Void’s worst enemy in the form of Pinhole Threading is easily thwarted with the AgInf boop… and so is Mad Dash, meaning that if we play our cards right, we can stop the runner's plan to win off two agendas.

If we can push through an early Longevity Serum or Send a Message – great, but we need to prepare ourselves for a long game. Usually it is wise to avoid the temptation of an early Obokata score – the tempo loss more often than not will cost us the game.

As with all glacier archetypes, the Boat is now raining on our parade, and the runners will usually stay high on cards to keep it safe from Wake Up Calls while stargating for the win. A well-timed Anemone can help with that, but we need to be prepared to sacrifice an Obokata to hunt the Boat.

Our default fodder for economy, disruption and win-con is the trio of Subliminal Messages, and to maximize its effectiveness we need to encourage our opponent to take a respite from running at least every couple of turns so that we can refuel. And if they end up wasting their resources just to stop us from getting our messages back – all the better!

This list went undefeated during the TriCity Store Championship this weekend, beating Zahya, Smoke, 419 and Freedom, and I feel confident in its ability to contest any runner deck currently in the field.

I would also like to thank Dagguh for organizing an amazing event and all the players who participated. Rock on!
