The agendas keep flowing, no matter what. We are not ramping down. We're just getting started. Nothing stops this train. Nothing.
What Tributary + NAC does to a mf:
I love rush. I like jamming agendas behind ice that does something. Turbine really grinds my gears, because my ice doesn't really matter anymore when I see it on the table. This means that, in order to use ice effectively I cannot just sit around, but be very proactive. Tributary is kinda cracked and messes up value runners. Also, there is no great answer to Bran in the meta.
Intriguing...
Ok so I'm standing in for the Unband 🧠🔥 team alongside xiaat, helping out Council and Kikai. Early on I realize there's a good chance I won't end up playing the typical rush Ob that carried me last year. Me on Ob would cause a different set up in corp factions than what we're trying to work with, which I don't love. Additionally, I'm also sort of down on Ob after a bunch of games with new cards, so I feel without a real home corp side. HB is my favorite faction on this side of the table and having learned how to pilot PD better by watching Bridgeman play it in testing a lot, I think I can hold my own.
I'm not Ob nor any other Weyland, but that doesn't mean that I have no chance of playing some sick Tucana list. Sure, it's not as good because I can't tutor it, but it's still a pretty great card that rewards you for chaining agendas and aggressively scoring points. Great. This lets me pull (and rez!) Tributary comfortably, making servers hard to run. If I can get the strength boost on Bran it gets silly strong. Wait. b4ralai reminded me a while back that NAC exists. NAC makes it insane actually. And if I get the strength boost on Trib too, the runner might have a really hard time breaking it, meaning Bran and every other sick ice may get to even higher heights...
I need to pursue this.
So here I am, building Tucana PD. As always, I get a little cute with my slots when testing some ideas, meaning I slam 2 Eli, 2 Ravana and 2 Ansel in, adjusting other parts to make ends meet. Tucana should help me get Bioroids rezzed early, so that Ravana becomes terminally online and an absolute nuisance of an ice, especially when activated (hi Buzzsaw), giving the list its first name: "Ravanan't". I play a bit, making small adjustments here and there, barely dropping any games.
It's fire.
Augustus publishes this gem of a deck. Well, shit. I'm hoping his list doesn't make too much noise to keep the element of surprise, but... if he's on it (and doing very well) it means that I'm definitely onto something. Maybe great minds really do think alike. I'm not sure about this no Spin thing, having a low number of installs on Tranq seems like trolling, but the list did go undefeated. Further discussions with xiaat and The King make me come to my senses about some unrefined parts of my version, getting me closer and closer to Augustus'. At that point, I just decide to put my faith in him, submitting his PD almost card for card having played exactly zero games without Spin. Cut 1 Drafter for an Eli, get 2 NAC in and that's it.
Here goes nothing.
The game against tuno's mulch is hard and complex to navigate, but I manage to pull through after a sick series of deep and brainy turns on both sides. I was worried about the matchup, but ultimately the list is solid and performs well. Learning to be more patient on corp in Unband has definitely helped here, and thanks to previous personal+ PD piloting experience the game goes smoother than expected. tuno's draw doesn't help it too much but it still plays the game like a champ. Go forth and spread the word. Spin is no more.
Played this @ Summer Showdown with -1 Tranq +1 Hospitality. Still fun!

Love to have contributed to this. The other TAI Breakers did try their best to disuade me from playing it, but my anti-spin vendetta cant be stopped. I gotta say Next Act is a genious include to this. The one thing i wasnt happy about was the low density of defensive options without the anoetic, and Next fill that role perfectly for the turn before tucana starts spitting out border controls. |

I love this deck. I've been working on not using spin and rashida, going fast, and this is a great way to do it! |
