coughs
(yes)
(I wouldn't call it complaining but—)
Unlike my previous Persephone deck (yeah, I made a Persephone deck, fight me), this one is actually meant to be somewhat viable. The principle of this particular piece of jank is to get stupid rich, then piss all over the runner's rig with Trojan Horse, Hellion Beta Test, and Enforcing Loyalty boosted to trace[20].
The ice suite is the usual Outfit set of illicits, with a couple of gearchecks thrown in (and Mausolus because Mausolus OP). All of the ice is focused on either getting short term value or cheaply locking the runner out once you've finished using the runner's rig as a porta-potty.
The agendas are also fairly standard with the exception of Broad Daylight. At first, I only slotted in Broad Daylight for shits and giggles, but it turns out that it's actually incredibly effective at yeeting Inside Jobs and other miscellaneous bullshit from the runner's hand. It's also nice when you trash both of Hoshiko's boats out of hand and get them to rage quit...
Pro tip: Enforcing Loyalty counters Boatshiko. It also counters imported Buzzsaws, Cleavers or whatever other imported degeneracy Wu players are running these days. It also makes anyone playing one of the minifactions leave the game and play MTG instead. And the runner doesn't have to install some extravagant import for Enforcing Loyalty to get value. Even trashing a freshly installed Earthrise Hotel or Daily Casts is decent value if the runner is poor and you didn't have to boost the trace by much. The only unfortunate bit about it is that I had to cut a Spinny in order to get the extra influence, but who cares anyway. (Also can we talk about how ironic it is that Enforcing Loyalty is so easy to import into other factions?)
Hellion Beta Test might seem like a strange pick considering the relative lack of assets in this deck, but you have to remember that there is also the 2x Enforcing Loyalty and Big Deal that the runner will trash on sight. You should always be floating around at 20-ish credits so you can fire up robocat when the opportunity arises. A really niche interaction but a cool one nonetheless: you can intentionally fail a Hellion trace to self-inflict a bad publicity. It came in clutch during a game where I failed the trace so I could reach the magic 4 bad pubbies I needed to fast advance Regulatory Capture the next turn for the win.
By now you're probably like "Gee Mancini, you're such a genius for coming up with this deck and I want to have your baby. You have a bunch of cool shit to trash boat and boomerang, but does this deck have a way to trash that little squid bitch Botulus too?"
Trojan Horse. 'Nuff said.
Well, I think that about wraps up all the major card choices ohrightIimportedbigdeal
Big Deal has got to be the MVP of this deck. About half of my games have been won through Big Deal. It's such a good closer, and you're rich enough that you can piss away 17 credits easy. Even if it doesn't win you the game outright, Big Deal on SDS Drone Deployment can be a smart play vs criminals who aren't running multiple copies of a certain breaker.
