If at first you don't suceed... (1st @ Warwick CO - 05/24)

Core

This deck is developed from FireRL's Rashida-less list, you can find more detailed information on the core play pattern and strategy over at their's or Sokka's.

Changes and Reasoning

  • Ice change: -2 Tributary, -1 Conundrum, +1 M.I.C. , +1 Vampyronassa, +1 Saisentan

    • Trib is irreplaceable for what it does, shutting down value runs and being a constant gear check that is still annoying to break. But the Decree from SBT means that have to remove them from the deck.
    • M.I.C. is our Border Control lite, whilst it does not taxes the runner credits as much during the pivotal turn, it still drains them a click. Bonus point for being a annoying facecheck that we can boop people into
    • Sainsentan is diminishing return when people respect it. But I have faith in our most refined(最先端) technology and would really like to turn our I.D. online to make the runner suffer as much as possible.
    • Vampy is multisub annoying facecheck but IMO much worse than our most refined. WIth runners happily Bravado-ing and Raindropping through them. It is a last minute desperate slot, which definitely could have been better.
    • Conundrum - "Don't think about this too hard"
    • Tollbooth? is a mix bag of feeling, it being one sub makes it very easy to be Botulus and Physarum Entangler through. With the latter being very popular in Shaper decks. Being familiar with some of the players, I am pretty sure I will be seeing these idealistic naifs trying to interrupt our plan. So it did not make the cut
  • To Rashida or not Rashida: - 2 Sprint, +2 Rashida Jaheem

    • This is a horrible decision motivated by two reasonable concerns - 1. How unlikely we will see Charlotte? 2. And how do we win without her?
    1. The probability of one to see a charlotte in a starting hand or in the top 10 after shuffling non-charlotte hand away is around 62%.
    2. If we do not see Cahrlotte, we will need to rush out our 4/2s before the runner is set up.
    • Rashida addresses both of these concerns, with 2 Rashida in the decks. The probability of one to draw a Rashida/Charlotte in starting hand or top 10 is now 82%, and we can do the PD thing of Jamming 4/2 on tempo and chain Rashida even without Charlotte.
    • The decision to cut sprint for influence+slot however makes this horrible. These changes did not have any impact during the tournament but in post tournament games, the trim in hand sculpting makes me want to cry. Perhaps the true answer lies in a version that somehow runs Spin+Sprint+Rashida.

Reflection

This Aginfusion decks demands runner to repeatly spend their resources over and over again in a turn to steal an agenda detering the runner with the promise of a bad time and great price . It punishes runners who leave it alone, by building to the doom scoring window with 4 EtR effects online. The answer to this is make calculated runs dismantling the corps carefully crafted machine before doom. These runs will be taxing, difficult and painful but will bring you success and ultimately a win.

In a similar vein, going to tournaments just as taxing, difficult and demanding. The competitive environment pushes you to perform at your best and helps you grow in ways that casual play cannot. You get to expirience the excitement of clutch time on the round games, the satisfaction of well-executed strategies, and the camaraderie of fellow enthusiasts. Heck you might find the cutest boyfriend you can wish for after one.

Participate in tournaments and embrace the challenge and the thrill of competition. Your dedication and continuous improvement will pay off, making you a stronger and more insightful player. With enough luck, you will be able to take one down even if you keep dying to same person's Snare!. Keep practicing, stay adaptable, and enjoy the journey of netrunner.

Good luck, and may your servers be unbreachable! 💜

{Huge thank you for Beefor running the tournament. Looking forward to the article on dependency loop using Hush and Magnet and many more once their thesis is done}

Ahhhhh!!!! @Council Senpai noticed me!!!!

Frantic fanboy noises aside, love the work following Cornered Animal list. You and Bridgeman have opened my eyes to the power of true taxing power of Jinteki. May this also be a great cheer to the work you have done.
