Running hurts. Running means the Corp can Power Shutdown, Midseason Replacements, SEA Source and all sorts of other mean things. So just stay at home! Play with your viruses and act surprised when the Corp runs out of things to do.
The combo you want to set up is 2x Virus Breeding Ground, Hivemind on Progenitor and a Gravedigger. (In a pinch you can put the digger on the Progenitor instead. Not recommended.) Then your turn, every turn, is click VBG -> Hivemind, click Gravedigger, repeat.
Once the Corp realizes this is your entire plan, you need to bring out some Chakana and contact The Source to slow them down and cost them a ton of money. (Project Beale and Oaktown Renovation make you sad.)
If you feel like actually running, dangerous as it is, you can bring your Super Friends team of Imp, Crypsis, Deep Thought, Medium, and Parasite. (Yes, Deep Thought is Aquaman here. He's secretly powerful, even if everyone makes fun of him.)
Fire Inject recklessly. The only card it can hit that you are sad about is Progenitor because Déjà Vu can't get it and something else back.
Zona Sul Shipping is a test card. If it ends up not pulling weight you can put the Parasite back in.

Yep. Sometimes I'll run once on an open R&D just because. But yeah, usually Corp will purge, and my next turn is instead to move two counters to Hivemind, Gravedigger once, and then do something else with the last click so that Chakana stays active, sitting on its Progenitor. I almost included Hard at Work just because the art perfectly demonstrates the idea of the deck. (With Adjusted Chronotype.) Then I saw the install cost of HaW... Bleh. 5. Blehhhhhh. Oh. This is, technically, worse than DLR decks, but... Less disruptable. |
I love this deck! How will you fire up Chakana without running? Oh wait...Hivemind...
