HB EtF Glacier - 3rd - ANRPC HAC Kansas City Qualifier

Piloted this deck to 3rd place in the ANRPC HAC Qualifier in Kansas City along with my Ghost in the Machine Kit deck.

Fairly standard HB EtF Glacier. Was wanting to bring Foundry, but EtF is just too good.

Fairly standard ice composition. The Viktor 2.0 could have been another Turing but I'm considering turning it into a Hudson 1.0. Slap it on R&D along with an Ash 2X3ZB9CY and laugh at the fool who tries to R&D lock you.

Was expecting lots of Faust at the tournament hence the Swordsman inclusion.

Wraparound is a great gear check. Wall of Static is 3 strength to disrupt Atman at 4. Heimdall 2.0 got installed and rezzed once on R&D and the runner never went there again.

Only card that was sorely missed was a Cyberdex Virus Suite. Was getting assaulted by lots of R&D medium runs and some troublesome datasuckers getting my Ichi 1.0s down within Mimic range.

Round 1 vs Chaos Theory Au Revoir

He opens with Personal Workshop x2, and 2 Au Revoir. I've played this matchup up before and know that I need to act fast. We go back and forth and he gets to 4 points while Im at 6 with an unadvanced NAPD in my scoring remote. His rig is up and running with a Femme Fatale, marking an Ichi on my scoring server. He has 3 Au Revoir, Snitch, Lady, Gordian Blade, Femme and Medium. The Medium starts to tick up as I struggle to make credits to rez an Architect and an Ash on R&D to try and keep him out. I should have purged a turn early but thankfully the rest of my agendas clearly are at the bottom of R&D. I hard purge after he sees 8 deep. I money up and advance my NAPD once. He gains 9 credits, runs my scoring server. He has 3 credits to play a Caprice psi game, and we both bid 0. He sees the NAPD, trashes caprice and GG.

Round 2 vs PPvP Kate

This match was against my teammate that traveled with to the tourney with me. He opens with lots of Lucky Find and Sure Gamble, SMC but no Professional Contacts or PPvP. The SMC holds off an Architect, but I just force out agendas. Once he found the professional contacts, the tempo hit created enough of a scoring window to get the last agenda out.

Round 3 vs. Noise

This was a rough matchup. I start by icing up all my centrals and have a Turing on Archives since I'm expecting a Faust. He drops an early Hacktivist Meeting and I aggressively get an Eve/Breaker Bay server up, the only downside is it grabs one of my Jacksons. I get up to 4 points and am gripping agendas. He gets a nerve agent out and gets up to 5 points from a Vitrivius and Future is now from my hand. I'm about to put another ice on archives next turn but he beats me to the punch and runs archives for 4 points. I was super aggressive getting the Eve up but he had an Imp and a naked Jackson was as good as dead early on. Yay Noise.

Round 4 vs. Valencia

This is a scarey matchup but I know that I need to bait out the early blackmails and find a Caprice for extra security on my remote. I sacrifice an Adonis to the blackmail and sneak out The Future is Now and find me Caprice. I can hold him off of my scoring server but he gets up to 4 points. Im on 6 points and holding a Biotic to close the game, but he has 2 live street peddlers which could hold a clot. I install in my safe scoring server, advance, biotic and pause. He says he doesn't have clot and I double advance and win out.

Round 5 vs. Tenma

Quickly realized this was a central only breaker Tenma deck and quickly put a Wall of Static and Ichi 1 on my scoring remote. The second I saw the Breach hit the table, I aggressively forced out agendas and quickly get to 6 again. He does get up to 4 points with some hard stimhacks on R&D but its protected by an Architect into a Wraparound into Eli 1.0 with Ash 2X3ZB9CY defending. He lets architect fire out of desperation and the 4th card is a Project Vitrivius which goes immediately into my scoring server. He has no way to get into the remote and I score out next turn.
