Encore Combo

mtd 1

My take on the Cold Ones combo deck from earlier this year.

I'm lacking Exploit, so currently Architect can become a problem, but i faced few enough of those that i didn't deem it necessary.

DDoS helps with getting the combo off.

One of Adept, Savant or Sage together with Chameleon cover all ice types and on Leprechaun you'll be fine with a single Dean Lister in the vast majority of cases, since at the point you are breaking, the MU used up by Hyperdrivers is freed up again.

I played around a bit with a similar deck playing Inside Job + DDOS. Generally I find I didn't really have to break much - if people are slowing down enough to put 3 ice down on multiple servers you get plenty of time to draw the combo, so generally DDOS + Inside Job + 1 Dean Lister on Aumakua is going to be sufficient to break all the ice you need. This also means you don't need as many creds to install breakers or break ice, so you can find the inf for a copy by cutting PioT if you'd like to try it.

Yes, Aumakua was a consideration. I chose this setup instead to avoid awkward situations withHortum/Turing (and I guess Swordsman, although i have not seen that yet). Generally i never really found myself in trouble for money this way.

The main card I meant to suggest was really Inside Job. I think Dean/Chameleon works just as well.

Yup, fair suggestion, will try out that a bit.

I'm fairly new, so take my comments with a grain of salt. It seems like with the focus on MU bonus icebreakers, an id like Chaos Theory might get more usefulness. Is there something you're specifically making use of with the NVRAM?

I'm also a little confused by the inclusion of Bookmark, I'm not sure exactly what it's synergizing with. I think I would prefer an Astrolabe in that slot to boost MU more and get some card draws.

Welcome to the game! This deck doesn't work entirely like you'd expect. It's a reworked version of this deck. Ideally, it wants to win the game in a single turn without making any runs before that by drawing a specific combo of cards. Bookmark is for holding onto your cards as you draw through your deck in search of The Combo. The ID is the best for this deck because it gives you 4 extra 'draws/slots' for the combo pieces.
