An alternate form of Argus that i've been messing with... in theory. have yet to play test it. The main problem here is influence and drip economy, since Jackson, Raven and Snare pretty much are must-haves in Argus, it limits the choices for drip econ. The few win-cons are probably just scorching the hell out of the runner with false lead, or rezzing 3 DRTs when the runner meets Data Raven. Firmware update targets the advancable ICE (Ice Wall, Shadow, Scavenge) and is also fodder for Archer.

No worries - it is interesting to see what other people do with the same idea. I think I had more luck with Posted Bounty because I had Shattered Remains and (in one version) Ghost Branch which meant there was sometimes a reluctance to run. Two questions: How useful do you find Firmware Updates? Does it boost your Ice Wall or Shadow typically? And how do you deal with Plascretes/IHworses? Do you essentially plan to just blast through them? They are the bane of my various attempts to kill runners! |
Hello - I have been toying with a similar concept (with mixed success) and I thought I'd share some of my experiences:
Posted Bounty is great in this deck. A wonderful threat. Sometimes the runner is on the backfoot and you can then get the kill, especially if it is an early agenda. Consider a switch with Firmware Updates?
The Cleaners is worth 3 places. Definitely - if it scored it is the difference between a kill and not a kill.
Money is sometimes a problem. It is why I dropped Snare! in the end - because I didn't have the money to hit with Snare and then initiate my kill next turn, even if they didn't clear the tag.
Data Raven is a great call, I believe in False Lead.
I haven't tried Snatch and Grab but i think it is an interesting call.
All the best
