Good stuff Gabe, splashing for a few vitals and econ, with no John Masanori.
Leela Patel: Trained Pragmatist is better. I thought otherwise, entering the tournament, but I was wrong. In a set where the corp is forced to regularly leave advanced cards in remotes with suboptimal agenda suites, she's even stronger than usual.
I could be wrong, but in my opinion, John Masanori isn't worth including. The two strongest corps, RP and Blue Sun, both make successful runs unreliable and/or very taxing, rarely leaving servers open. To make matters worse, without Aesop's Pawnshop you can't get rid of him after installing, leaving him a liability for the rest of the game. And with Kati Jones as one of the few economy options, going tag-me neuters much of your economy. Gabriel Santiago: Consummate Professional suffers similarly, with corps rarely letting him pound HQ for value.
In a Leela Patel: Trained Pragmatist deck, switching out Professional Contacts/Liberated Account for The Maker's Eye lets you have a little more control over the probability of triggering her ability when you want to. Alternatively, going Test Run/Retrieval Run lets you cheat out Femme Fatale, avoiding the extreme 9 cost, which really slows you down, also comboing nicely with Inside Job/Spear Phishing to sneak into the remote.
Corp here.
