Khumalo: Hippoes X Crimson Knives

This was a deck that I took to an online North Georgia Netrunner Summer tournament of 2018. Based on a variant of the Freedom Khumalo that I've played before that had a focus on, well, obviously Viruses.

With a mixture of Virus Breeding Ground and Yusuf and Contaminate, it sets up for your engine for trashing cards from HQ. Always go for HQ cards, and never be to greedy to trash the first card you see: Maybe Hard-Hitting News is the second card you access after you use that The Turning Wheel counter...

Friday Chip also interacts with Hippo and Knifed. Many a time I have used Clicks to get through a bioroid (Fairchild 3.0 I'm looking at you) and popped a 2 credit worth Hippo.

I recently took away Maxwell James for x2 No One Home, because the weakness of this deck is economy ( yeah don't rely on Acacia for money, from experience the corp would not purge...). Without economy, that Hard-Hitting News hits you like a tag-truck, at least No One Home leaves you with a reduced trace 0 instead of trace 4, and also comes in handy when stealing Obokata protocols.
