Reavershop Wu - Worlds 2022

This is the deck I brought to the 2022 World Championship.

I have been half out of the game for a little while now due to the pandemic, but since Worlds was local I needed a deck to go. I got the bones of this deck from @formerteen and it is great at what it does. For anyone that knows me, I have been playing Wu consistently since she was released so I am super excited that the dreaded boat finally makes Shaper a meta contender.

I went 4-3 with this deck at the main event, and I feel like if I practiced more I could have gotten at least one more win. I cut the clot at the last minute because I figured that my game plan against Sports will be to just hammer centrals and hope for the best. Luckily I only had one match against Sports, which unfortunately was a win for me due to a game loss from my opponent.

My other wins were against CTM, Prav, and Acme. The card that was my own special sauce for this deck is Sneakdoor Beta, which absolutely won me games. For some reason, people don't expect it out of Shaper so archives rarely gets any ice at all.

The game plan really is to money up and Stargate when you can. Then the corp will eventually make R&D not worthwhile to run any more, so you switch to HQ, which the corp will then eventually add more ice to. So then you drop the Sneakdoor and keep hammering HQ to snipe the agendas that are likely building up. You generally don't need the Stargate and the Sneakdoor at the same time, so you just overwrite whichever one you don't need any more.

This was my first Worlds and I had a great time. I have been half out of the game for a while so getting to play a ton over the course of a weekend (especially locally) was a lot of fun. Of my 14 main-event games, I played against 13 different IDs, which is the bonus for being at the bottom tables.

Thanks to everyone for coming to Toronto and making it for a great weekend.
