MirrorMath

Inspired by the horrible Thule decks my meta mates were building for Irish nationals, I wanted to try MCA Austerity Policy shenanigans in a different ID. This deck is just @strongoose’s Mirror World but with

• -1 Active Policing
• -1 Sprint
• +1 Greasing the Palm
• +1 Restore

Due to poor life decisions, I didn’t get any practice in before playing this deck on the day of the tournament. Combined with a sleepless night and an early start, I found myself missing triggers and taking waaaay too long to figure out if I could pop off and fast advance or not. Note to self: practice your MirrorMorph Math before the tournament. Luckily, by lunchtime things started to fall into place and I began to understand how the deck works.

Irish Nationals 2024 was a lot of fun - it was great to catch up with the other players and see some new faces. I didn’t place very highly but my decks were a blast to play and I ended up winning a whole slew of friendly games with them whilst the top cut was happening.

I’ll be sad to see @anarchomushroom step down as the “island TO”, but I think they’ve done a great job fostering interest in the game and building a community that can keep things moving.
