Shaper Eddie Kim (Halloween Startup 2-1)

This deck was made for a particularly strange format event, "Halloween Runner". Basically (almost) all IDs are legal but you have to swap faction, otherwise startup cardpool. For full details see: https://alwaysberunning.net/tournaments/3949/naarmmelbourne-halloweenrunner

This is actually a Edward Kim: Humanity's Hammer. I choose eddie as I thought I'd be able to take out more key combo pieces (examples: oppo, end the line, seemless launch) from the weird decks people were putting together. Turns out basically everyone was on asset heavy combos (that's what I get for not knowing the startup cardpool very well).

If I was to play this deck/event again I think I'd change up the win condition of the deck, focus more on The Maker's Eye for a quick multiaccess that only takes a couple Matryoshka to pull off instead of Deep dive which seemed perpetually out of reach.

Also I should be on 1 Asmund Pudlat and I think it's good to grab both the Imp and Conduit but 2 was too much. I went for that thinking it'd increase the consistency of getting it first but it's still too inconsistent.

Chameleon was put in to apply early pressure and maybe protect Matryoshka from Swordsman. I didn't run into swordsman but I have no idea how I thought this would work.

Basilar Synthgland 2KVJ is pretty cute with Conduit. It wasn't worth it. Into the Depths likewise should have been more Overclock and Dirty Laundry

This is what I get for building a deck in a cardpool I don't really know and not doing any practice games, eh?
