WasteShop™ 0.2

Grimwalker 638

I haven't playtested this at all, but after running into @daytodave playing Gingerbread, Wasteland, and Harbinger out of Shaper, I was inspired. So, this deck and his Fall Cleaning deck will probably be orbiting each other for a bit, but I like my name better and I call dibs ;-) I'll do some more analysis of his choices versus mine when I'm off work.

Wasteland represents a huge boost in efficiency for Aesop's Pawnshop, Clone Chip, and no few programs with a Trash effect. Harbinger is an easy Hayley drop, and lets you double-dip for WasteShop money.

In addition to some standard breakers, the deck runs several silver bullets that normally are left in the box because of marginal utility outside of specific matchups, but with WasteShop they're at least worth more money.

Film Critic/NACH is the scorch protection package, and I included some draw because Hayley chews through cards fast. I went ahead and broke the previous build to get Daily Casts and Career Fair back in, because Daily Casts and Aesop have been buddies for years. Unfortunately that pushed out the Armitages which @daytodave still has in, so that's something I'm still chewing on.

I also dropped Corroder for Snowball and Pipeline for general use, which makes me question whether Mimic/Corroder isn't just a better use of influence, and whether paying 9 Influence for an econ engine is a game that's worth the candle in the first place.

Future considerations would be whether this would be better played out of Kate, to increase the efficiency of installs, or Chaos Theory, to better handle the toolbox of programs (as though space weren't already at a premium).

Drug Dealer seems... so great here. Like, worth replacing all three Career Fairs with. You can sell them to Aesop when you are done with them, they are pretty much the best source of clickless draw outside of the pancakes combo, and they open up a bunch of deck slots for you.

I 100% support Wasteshop as the name of this econ engine.

@FarCryFromHuman That's an interesting idea. I'll put it in the testing queue. I freaking hate the sticker price of Earthrise Hotel and being able to drop that and the Career Fairs that enable it is mighty tempting.

0.3 will be: -2 Earthrise Hotel -3 Career Fair -1 Pipeline

+1 Chameleon +2 Armitage Codebusting +3 Drug Dealer

Between the Bullets, Chameleon, and Atman, I should be okay not having a dedicated Killer. Pipeline is so bad, I forgot how bad it was. $6 to bust an Architect, GTFO.

Would it be plausible to keep the Career Fairs around for Daily Casts, though? I happen to love that combo. :)

Career Fair + Daily Casts is amazing, but not when DC is your only CF target. Also, at some point we have to consider just how much influence is going to go into economy over, say, consistency, breakers, and HQ pressure.

@Grimwalker: All those changes seem really solid. How much use are you getting out of Gingerbread? I'm wondering if that should be an HQ Interface or a Nerve Agent instead. There should probably be some R&D multiaccess squeezed in here as well.

@FarCryFromHuman R&D Multiaccess would be nice but I want to get some games in before I rip something else out to make room for Interfaces. Gingerbread I expect to get a lot of work done in a D&D meta. I was tickled pink to see it played against my SYNC deck in my game with @daytodave and if I don't need it, I can always pawn it.
